Living in Tulsa Oklahoma

Күн бұрын

Are you thinking about moving to Tulsa Oklahoma? Let’s explore what is Tulsa Oklahoma like and Tulsa Oklahoma's pros and cons today!
Tulsa, Oklahoma is a city that has been gaining popularity in recent years. With its charming downtown area, affordable cost of living and friendly community, it's no wonder people are flocking to this Midwestern gem.
One of the biggest advantages of living in Tulsa is its affordable cost of living. But Tulsa isn't all rainbows and roses. If you are thinking of moving to Tulsa OK then you need to understand the cons of living in Tulsa too. It isn't perfect and I am going to be real with you in this video going over the pros and cons of living in Tulsa OK. The median household income in Tulsa is lower than the national average, but the cost of living makes up for that making Tulsa Oklahoma a great place for those looking for an affordable yet comfortable lifestyle. Tulsa may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of safety, it has repeatedly been ranked as a city with high crime, but I cover how that statistic can be deceiving. Yes, there are tornadoes and winter storms.
Tulsa is working on its infrastructure, and our roads and highways could use some work, but no place is perfect. However, our traffic is pretty great compared to other metros this makes commuting within the city and surrounding suburbs convenient and hassle-free. Tulsa's public transportation system is lacking so you will definitely need to own a car living here.
You will likely enjoy exploring Tulsa. Oklahomans are known for their warm hospitality and welcoming nature.
Compared to many of the surrounding smaller towns Tulsa is more diverse.
Tulsa, Oklahoma is a vibrant and charming city with a strong sense of community. It's known for its affordable cost of living, friendly people, and great entertainment options. If you're considering a move to Tulsa, be prepared for warm summers and cold winters. And don't forget to visit the charming international airport on your way in or out! Overall, Tulsa offers a unique blend of small-town charm and big-city amenities, making it a great place to call home.
If you’re thinking about moving to Tulsa Oklahoma be sure to give me a call, shoot me a text, send me an email, or schedule a Zoom call. I’d love to help you make a seamless move to Tulsa Oklahoma!

True 10 years ago. In BA i came out of a come and go to catch two guys trying to install a tracker on my tacoma. Right now there really is not a safe place anywhere. Armed theives walking out of harbor freight without paying for a drill combo set. I asked the cashier if she wanted me to stop him. Her response was NO...two weeks earlier someone tried to stop that same man and the thief pulled a gun on him. Same guy....sheesh. This country is going to shyte quick!

@@Digitalizedx I think the trouble there is caused by a small minority of bad guys. I think the vast majority of folks up north are hard working folks that sometimes are the victims of these bad guys. If it were up to me the residents would have whatever resources needed to protect the community. The main problem up north is the community is starved for resources at every level. From public safety, education and even grocery stores. It is underserved.

Its funny at one time about 40 years ago Tulsa named the most livable city, or some title close to that. It seems since the all the petroleum buisnesses moved out in the 80's it just been a slow decline. I live in Jenks a suburb of Tulsa and it reminds me of how Tulsa used to be growing up.

I visited Tulsa a few years ago and the bad drivers is no joke. It had snowed a little and I swear that everyone on the highway behaved like it was day one behind the wheel. More than half were driving 15 mph which was un necessary then random cars would be trying to swerve pass at 70 mph. I was in aww how dumb it was.

I can’t finish this video so idk if she says any of this.. I can get anywhere in 15-20min. We have a fantastic farmers market on Saturday mornings year round. We have some wonderful outdoor spaces and lots of events in those places. We have affordable broadway shows here as well as a great symphony and ballet. If you enjoy gardening we can grow beautiful flowers and vegetables I couldn’t grow in Houston. Last thing I’ll say is that the wind here is pretty consistent which means being outside when it’s hot isn’t always so bad especially in the shade. Oh and there’s A LOT of communities that are “small town” vibe but only 20-30 min away from the metro. 😅

Every time you turn around the city is raising the cost of utilities and your property taxes. When I first moved to Tulsa I lived comfortably on my income. First thing I'm dong when I retire is move out of Tulsa. Several small towns just outside of Tulsa that has a better cost of living. The thieves aren't afraid to rob you in broad daylight and they don't care if you have cameras. Yes, there's lots of things to do and see. Driving to Tulsa for entertainment would be much better than living in Tulsa.

There are Marijuana shops all over Oklahoma, pretty much anywhere you go in Oklahoma, even the small towns have them. I would not say that it smells like Marijuana everywhere though. Most people smoke it in the privacy of their own homes and in their back yard. Remember, most people that smoke weed or do edibles are less likely to be belligerent or combative compared to how alcohol drinkers can be.

@@righteousbyfaithinChrist We are very conservative but treat everyone with kindness, even if we feel like their views are “crazy” and/or damaging to children and America as a whole. We can’t stand the mass illegal migration into our country but, I don’t blame the people coming here. (It’s our government that’s enabled and enticed them.) My wife’s grandparents migrated from Russia to China, due to extreme persecution, and her parents were born in China, then legally migrated here, where she and her sisters were born. We are very against abortion, except in extreme circumstances, and we can’t stand the new gender stuff. Despite that, we have some gay friends and family and love them anyway. If you plan to build or buy a house in Tulsa, Oklahoma, DO NOT EVER work with Daniel Ruhl aka Ruhl Construction aka Asher Homes. Their homes are complete junk! Also, DO NOT EVER buy or sell a house through Chinowith & Cowen! The owner Sheryl has a questionable relationship with Daniel Ruhl and cheats her own agent's clients out of their money. They work as a team. Sheryl will even try to trick you into signing documents in order to give Daniel the upper hand in cheating you in court. They're two pihs rolling in the mud together. Please do your homework and read all of their reviews before making one of the most important decisions of your life. He will destroy your finances & dreams. These lying thieving thugs will rob you of your trust, money, time, and for some their marriages. Yes, what he puts families through destroys marriages. Daniel Ruhl homes look beautiful until you step foot in one, then you quickly notice what pieces of junk they are from top to bottom...and that's pitting it mildly. Not to mention what you can't see. His homes often have plumbing & framing issues. Again, please read his reviews and look at the pictures posted for yourself. Look up Daniel Ruhl & Ruhl Construction on Yelp, Facebook, Google and numerous platforms, and you'll see what a disgraceful lying fake Daniel is. Look up the Aspen Creek neighborhood where Daniel Ruhl robbed the homeowners of peace & comfort in their own homes, and continues to be in a major legal dispute with the community. Call any lawyer, broker, real estate agent, property manager, contractor in Tulsa, and they will all tell you to run fast & never build or buy a house from Daniel Ruhl. Anyone who tells you any different is either lying or has never stepped foot inside one of his builds, or they regretfully own one, and are desperately trying to hock it on the market, and don't want to tank their resale value. He's the biggest con artist & fake in Tulsa. His two top guys Gerald & John are lying crooks too. What he'll do to your dreams, finances & trust in humanity is worse than any tornado Oklahoma has ever experienced. He will turn your world upside down & shake you down for every penny you have. Heed the warning & run fast!!!

@@OfficerMDHibbs Newsflash; People are catching on the the SOUTHWEST/MIDWEST life and how much cheaper it is. Most of them come from expensive states like California, Denver, New York etc. People will continue to move to Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, etc. All the states that no one even talked about. I have family throughout the State of Oklahoma. In the major cities and suburbs. They have been trying to get me to come to Oklahoma for years. That's how it happens; You start to tell your immediate family and then your extended family. The next thing you know we are all here lol! Tulsa OK will continue to grow. Stay tuned!

THC shops are a con?? Sounds like a selling point to me. No hangovers, fewer calories. And they don't smell like they used to, as edibles have become more popular. If someone is fine with a bar in their neighborhood they should be fine with a dispensary.

I live in Tulsa: Cons Public Transportation is a joke. Nothing is close if you do not have a car. There is a church on every corner but jobs and businesses are hard to find. Around my area in Tulsa; the store are closing and the restaurant too. I have to walk. Rents are getting high now because the national landlords price gouging. Road are like bombs hit them, schools are horrible. Health care stinks. Service is terrible. The Oklahomans are not nice because if you come from somewhere else; they want you to leave. Poor and homeless I see. Don't expect help and service even if you pay for it. I have asked many buyers do you want to come to Tulsa and they say it is not big enough or worth the trip. Both public and private schools are terrible. Food is awful. I wish I could leave Tulsa. But; I am on social security and it does not give me enough money to save. This is a bright red state and I try to get along with the white supremacists and lots of Spanish people that don't speak English. The jobs are mostly warehouse and oil. Not much else. The state does nothing to help people to get schooling to get jobs. The pot and drug and gun problem is high. Outdoors is not that great and no culture to teach children the arts and sciences. This is a top down economy so there is only crumbs here for most. You have to have a good job coming here. Very Christian religious and is not really nice to other ideas. This is not a service city. You have to have money. It may be cheaper to live here but not as cheap as you think. I wish I could leave and be closer to facilities and get the services I need. Because I can't here and the government is no help.
