@eileenmcdonald1599 relax! That black salon was owned by a specialist and celebrity stylist who was able to beautifully treat her hair and make it look normal. Something no one else was able to achieve in all those years of life that woman had suffered into adulthood. The patient looked quite lovely and was very very happy! ✨✨

I just watched a show on a grown woman with this. It was on TLC. Basically, you treat it like extremely curly hair and flood it with moisture and style it in sections, the way you would 4C hair. That's not to say 4C is uncombable, just that it's got the best method to help.

It doesn’t help, it’s an inside out issue if that makes sense . It has to do with the way their bodies absorb certain thing, Copper if I’m not mistaken. My family members child has it and it stood straight out like she was electrocuted until it’s so heavy it starts to fall And then it still tends to stick out like it’s static filled.

@hursthill1995 6 ай бұрын
@@PhotoJeticPoet yes it stays frizzy and like you ran a balloon through their hair no matter what you do to it unless there’s some new magical product but i seriously doubt it unless it’s something to fix the way they absorb. No matter what they tried it didn’t work, it’s literally untameable until they outgrow it. When and if they outgrow it still takes a while to grow out the uncombable hair out but then is when it will start softening and becoming more tameable and start to lay down.

@@Rina-jl6yb Everything was normal in the 80s, it's only when younger kids and new things came along since then that the world became as crazy as it is now. In the 80s people wanted to look attractive or outrageous and to do either required spending time in the morning to create your look. A hairstyle with volume was preferred over flat, straight hair and people would use a lot of hair products and styling methods to get their hair into unnatural arrangements. The less natural your hair looked, the more obvious it was that you had put a lot of effort into your hairstyle and you were given at least a minimal amount of social credit for not looking like you just rolled out of bed and walked out the door. Because it is very difficult to make straight thin and fine hair look voluminous and stand away from the head instead of wisps of hair stuck to the scalp, women who could style this type of hair into fluffy, airy miracles were considered the most skilled hairdressers. It took many women thousands of hours of practice to become experts in teasing and backcombing and some skills, like knowing exactly how much hair spray to spray and where to spray it, those were more intuition and can't be taught. Trust me, my mom was one of those women. She started out in high school making bee-hives or bouffants with her friends in the 60's and by the time I was in elementary school in the 80's, she owned every method of curl maker available from the drug store. My straight, thin, fine hair defeated every method though and refused to hold a curl. So, instead I engaged in the once every 3 months ritual of getting a perm until the 80's officially ended in 1992.

OMG! My hair was just like that when I was small. All my pictures have my white fluffy hair. My Mum would use hair gel to comb it down and put barrettes to hold it for pictures, but in the snapshots it's exactly like this. My Grandma bought me 2 pink silk pillowcases becauae my hair would break at the back at night and combing it made me cry, because it was so hard.. It finally calmed down when it grew longer, around 3rd grade. Just Wow.
