Let me offer some insight from a man's perspective. I would bet my house on the fact that he wanted to marry her and only her... However, he ALSO wanted sexual connections with other women. This may not make sense to most women, but men can more readily compartmentalize sex and relationship. If it is just about the sex, men will do whatever is necessary to sleep with a woman, even while genuinely caring for the other women he has chosen for long term relationship - it's just a matter of whether he man wants to explore sex outside of his relationship (obviously, not all men choose to do so) To the other women involved it may have seemed he was dating them, but from his perspective it was likely just sex.

Let’s be honest, even if someone said something earlier, many women refuse to acknowledge it or end up staying anyways. I lost a friendship after telling my friend about her husband possibly cheating and she accused me of being jealous and that he would never and still stayed. Less than 3 years later and much more cheating, I heard from a mutual that she posted on Facebook about finally leaving the abusive relationship. Some women really don’t want to hear the truth about their husbands until they see it for themselves. Getting involved as the 3rd party only makes you look like the bad guy or a scapegoat for the husband to call you jealous and further isolate that woman from her friends/loved ones
@maybewise6 ай бұрын
@@rachelesmith3342 EXACTLY. In retrospect, many women believe they would have reacted appropriately if they'd known sooner. But ignoring red flags is an epidemic. If your friend just suspects something, and comes to you, they're easy to dismiss as jealous. So you would think the solution is the friend has to get more evidence. If they go snooping just to TRY and find something, then they're easy to dismiss as doing too much, and trying to sabotage your relationship. It's just a really awkward position to be in. That's why I can't even be friends with people whose relationship I don't believe in.

It’s impossible to see the light or any type of end when you’re in the depths of despair, and the well intentioned “things will get better” lines of encouragement often mean nothing. Over 6K comments so this must be a topic that grabs many. I understand your shock, pain, anger, and relief. I've never talked about this, but my husband died when I was 27 and he was 34. We were only married 1.5 years. Shortly after his death I was cleaning things out and came across info that confirmed he had been having an affair/fling - whatever. And...not exactly a friend, but someone I was in school with. Someone who had offered condolences. I sat next to her every day!! In that instant, all the shock/horror at his early/sudden death left me but I was consumed with shock/horror at what he had done to me. I never shed another tear, never visited his grave again. Nothing. He was truly dead to me and still is. Fifty years later I've never remarried and I've been happy ever since. I wish you happiness in your future.

I don't understand how people have time to cheat. Who has the time?
@sjsomething49367 ай бұрын
Especially with multiple people like this loser? A good friend of my parents had a daughter who dated a guy for about 2 years and almost marriedhim, she broke it when she found out he had an entire family and was already married! How long does a person think they can have 2 families and not get found out? And why the heck would you want 2 wives / husbands, isn’t one enough trouble? 😂

What’s most unfair in situations with cheaters, is that the victim is almost always left with emotional trauma . Meanwhile the cheater is enjoying their life or in this case, dead with no emotions to give at all. If you’ve been cheated on and it’s affected you to any extent, please take care of yourself. 🌼

This right here. When I found out my ex was cheating on me the entire relationship (Four years) with his ex, it felt like my brain did an emergency reset. I still struggle with taking care of myself, but I'm a long way from where I started in this mess.

My son's father who I was with for 5 years cheated on me when I was 5 months pregnant I came home to a notice on our apartment door that we were being evicted when I knew that I had given him the money to pay the rent? Anyway that led to us moving out I moved in with my grandmother he moved in with his ex brother-in-law and while I was out looking for a house for us since we were about to have our new baby he secretly moved in with the woman that he was cheating on me with for over a year. And our son was planned that was the hardest part for me to get over. He scared me for my whole life. We would still be together often for over 10 years. Which was only holding me back. 29 years old about to be 30 and those wounds never go away.

Hardest part is forgiving yourself. I stayed way too long. Many emotional affairs . I was taught to turn the other cheek. That didn’t work ! I still get angry when I think of all the clues I missed because of my innocence. 34 years later I was starting my journey of freedom and he died alone of a heart attack. I was grateful actually. He could have been dangerous to me. I lived with that fear. Many of us could write a book as they say ❤. The trauma surfaces in the oddest times and ways. Watch utube videos on narcissism. 14 years later and I’m still learning and unraveling .. but from a heathy space. You can do this. 😊
