Participatory design really helpful as it bring the stakeholders in to co-design and they are the one who understand the condition the best, and many people actually very interested to do so, and they just help to bring their creative out into reality.

This is so helpful for me at this moment! Since I am building my portfolio/ personal website. Thanks Aona! As a graduate student who is transferring to UXR, I think the strategic impact is highly applicable to my projects. Especially the idea of "bringing new research opportunities"; it could apply to almost all academic research (I think). That sounds like things I always write under "implications" or "future study".

This was incredibly informative! I'm studying UX Design and the UXR side has been grasping my interest lately since I miss engaging with academic research. I love the idea of guiding stakeholders along with you for more direct product impact. It's definitely crucial to the team feeling more involved and connected with your findings. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!!

Thank you so much for clearing the myths! It seems now all "good resume tips" require you to write quantified impact statement. I get that it's more solid and straightforward to show your value, but it's just not the case for UXRs. I wonder if you could give some good examples for UXR resume impact statements that can best demonstrate a powerful result? Appreciate all your advice in your videos!

Hi Aona, what's the core value of a UXR do you think?(if your boss ask you),and do you think a UXR should be responsible for the user experience? or Product manager should be responsible for it? Really appreaciate if you can tell me your ideas...

Myth #1 is one of the worst myths to me. I have been “coached” by recruiters who REQUIRED me to write down some monetary profit increase to correlate with my research work on my resume even if the research was more exploratory. I wanted to focus on strategic research, but unless it had the $$$ it didn’t matter to some of the recruiters I have worked with.
