I only recently tried Vegemite for the first time, maybe about a year ago. Having heard stories, I was ready for an unusual taste but, oh boy, I wasn't expecting that. I couldn't imagine this being a comfort food or national favorite. But as I kept eating, with plenty of bread and butter, it grew on me. Now, I can't get enough of it! I usually get mine at Bluestone Lane Times Square, on toast with butter, although I don't need as much butter as I did in the early days. But I've been getting it so often lately, I really need to start buying jars. Not sure where yet, but I'm looking.

Love this story. Agreed that it’s a jarring flavor at first but like your experience you ease into it with butter and bread and before you know it it’s part of your diet. It’s an acquired taste for sure.

I recently finally tried it. The real Aussies told me how to eat it with plenty of butter and a fingertip worth of vegemite. It’s yummy

@@cutthemustardshow um, he plays rugby sevens, but the thing is, he just posted a video tasting vegemite for the same time, and giving an australian player our hot tealike beverage, mate, so he could taste it. Moneta was expecting vegemite to be a sweetener you put on toast, so once it was on his mouth, his reaction was hilarious lol
