Students at FX School are taught the fundamentals and principles of VFX and use a number of various industry standard tools to achieve their desired outcomes. The tool (i.e. software) they use depends on the task they are performing. Some of the most popular tools in the industry are Adobe's After Effects, Foundry's Nuke, etc. Further, there are a number of plug-ins that are also deployed for additional features and capabilities.
