Tips for beginners: Turn off the food palatability setting in the “E” section of the menu. This makes is so your character never tires of eating the same food. Very useful. There is a barrel full of MREs hidden inside a log near the entry gate. The best way to take it is using a wire and attaching it to the barrel and your ATV Your first purchases should be of item boxes and trash bag rolls. This will start slowly, it it will rapidly increase your points. Purchase and item box, and as many trash bag rolls as you can. Bag up as much trash as you can inside the base. Put it in the item box, call the drone, and wait. Use the points to buy another item box and more rolls. Do this another 2/3 times or until you have no more garbage inside you base. Then, purchase an item box and as many trash bags as possible. Then, head to transformer 2. It is full of trash. All of which should be bagged and carried. Sell it in the item box for huge profits. Your first big purchase should be a Kerfur unit. It will go out and fix servers, which is very useful. Then focus on upgrading your systems, to allow you to make more money per drive. The MRE barrel should keep you full for 25 days. I think it could last another 15 if rationed carefully. Use sv.target satellite name. This will point your compass to the dish. Very useful for navigation. Works for transformers as well.

If your reading this, congrats. Here are some intermediate tips Buy a Woodchipper. Shred all the curtains laying around your base, and wood gibs for supply crates. Bag it up, ship it off in an item box for a nice bonus to your points. Use the wire that you should have. Go behind the bunker, and throw it onto the keycard through the hole in the back. Reel it in and claim your prize. You can open the first set of bunker doors now.

For me, Voices of the Void is the best horror game I've ever played. I can't stand jumpscares since I get startled easily, so it's the perfect horror acclimation game for jumpy people. Just... Be cautious when opening a door. Something might be on the other side. Also, I cannot stress this enough, if you get too tense from just creepy ambience, then turn the game music off. Trust me, it helps.

@@mrrithexthesilent6385 I'm not sure how far crafting/recycling is already implemented - I was playing on 0.6.2a But yes, you can absolutely chuck most things into the woodchipper. Wooden chunks, plasic trash, food packaging, mannequins. During a certain spoiler event, you might end up with a lot of flesh chunks - you can grind those down, too.

I personally used the purple discs to mainly save time. Mostly so I could have more time producing drives, until I eventually got a Kerfus, which saved me needing to buy purple discs constantly and saved me from ATV fuel.

(Spoilers for the game below) In my first (and still ongoing) playthrough, I did little exploring. I just kept to my routine of scanning signals and leaving the base to go get the hashcodes that Dr. Bao wanted. This enhanced the isolation I felt since I didn't know much of my surroundings except for the paths to and from the satellites. The only time I went exploring was when I saw the smoke from the alien camp. I tried taking one of there beds and I was quickly jumped by one of them. Needless to say, I avoid going to that part of the map unless I need to go to Victor. The only time I see the camp is when I send Kerfus out to repair and he happens to drive through there.

If you don't take their beds, their space heater, or their camp stove, they mostly leave you alone--except to break into your base and eat all your shrimp, and once in a blue moon prank you by sneaking up and smacking you one. In fact, if you sleep on one of their beds at the camp, they will repay all the shrimp they stole by feeding you pudding cups (Food level goes to 100). Arirals are pretty okay, overall; just don't microwave their plushies. Also, the pressure washer is there when they've finished building. They don't mind if you borrow that.
