What is Wrong with Indian Liberals

We often see the hardcore Modi supporters or the "right wing" populace being attacked in liberal circles. They are made fun of, ridiculed and even shamed for not being "open" enough to see reason. But have you ever wondered that the liberals might be doing the same thing? For instance, many of those people that identify themselves as "liberals" have chosen to cut off friends that are Modi supporters. Why is that? Is it not okay to have an opinion that is different? And more importantly, if you're not even willing to give the other person the space to voice their opinions or to entertain their ideas, are you even a liberal? This is precisely what we will address in today's video- the problems with some liberals today. We will also try and understand what shapes the ideologies of people and what makes them "liberal" or "conservative" while also seeing why the existence of both these sections is important for the society to exist.

I am a liberal athiest, and i FULLY support Hindu Rashtra. The thing is, secularism can only be good for everyone if it is applied every where in the world. But the truth is, almost every nation in this world is created on the basis of race, religion, language or some combination of these 3. In that case, the community which doesn't have their own nation would be inevitably taken over and persecuted in their own country. This has happened to EACH and EVERY community that does not have or have failed to maintain their nation, for example, the jews, the Zoroastrians, the masopotamians, the ancient Egyptians, the aztecs, the sumerians, babylonians, the ancient Greeks, Romans, etc. Of these, the jews and zoroastrians have survived thanks to cointries like India who accepted them. Today, zoroastrians still don't have their own nation but they survive in Bharat and have made Bharat their own nation. But the rest were swallowed and destroyed by either islam or Christianity. So for Hindus to survive, they must make their homeland, Bharat, a Hindu rashtra. Also, most of the european countries are not secular, like uk have their official religion like Christianity, the rest are secular only in name, they don't have any other communities other than Christians and atheists. Those who have imported muslim refugees are now facing huge troubles.

I disagree with this generalization. I'm a liberal Indian, but I feel that: 1. Religion should not be mixed with government, except when taxes are to be collected. 2. Hijab, sindoor, rakhi... should be personal choice. Yet in all these, women are judged for choosing one way or the other. 3. Also believe that bhumi poojan of a government building is OK, but I don't support Modi's presence in the inauguration of the Ram mandir, sine it was mired in so much controversy. The issue is not understanding the terms of "liberal" and "secular" . Those who call themselves liberals among politicians are power hungry people and therefore *non - liberals and autocrats* . We're given a thought process since childhood, by our parents, society. But some people always have curious mind, they can't stop themselves from knowing(or seeking). I'm also one of them. When I stopped calling myself as Muslim(at conscious level), people labelled me as an atheist, as I wasn't on the conclusion, I labelled myself as an Agnostic, Seeker etc. But when the level of my consciousness rose further, I came to know, all these words can't address me. I also realised that majority of the people who believe in God & people who disbelieve in God, are on the same boat, they are arguing about something which they do not know. If I do not admit that "I do not know, I destroy all the possibilities of knowing." And, I never make fun of anyone's knowledge which which they have acquired through self-experience, self-introspection, spiritual practices etc. I've been only against social evils, bigotry, religious fascism etc.

@@beelikepro my views are simple if the guy who takes credit when anything good happens in his state the cm should also take the blame and resign and there should be a president rule by now the women supporters and his resignation letter was a act like many of the debaters on national tv runs 9pm shows and pm should have been there for atleast a week after 100 days he still talked about it for 5 min don't give me that crap he is doing he don't need to address everything he is we are in democracy he is answerable to us he could have stopped it if he wanted I am not that guy who's gona say ya it was all BJP's fault the roots were planted in congress rule but they are not ruling right now when they ruled we blamed them in 2017 and 2015 the ruler is responsible but bjp be like bangal mai kya ho raha hai ye sab congress ki vajah se hai it won't happen in 2 days it will take 1 or 2 weeks but not 100 days and if he bjp would have done that i would have been on BJP's side on west bangal and rajasthan issue I'm still want these to get sort out but first priority is Manipur for me. And the responsibility should have been taken by pm by now but anyway if you don't have an open mind there is no use of debate. I have the same reservation about the Indira Gandhi era she had the same power as Narendra Modi and I want democracy and people to live in peace and prosperity

@@bornconfuced.5403 You know what, I agree with most of our points. As most of the state assembly sessions are happening, I bet Manipur's state assembly sessions are also started. The CM should make stance on violence and if opposition doesn't believe him, there's should be no-confidence motion brought to the table by them. I don't believe in using article 356 against any elected government in this country, unless they don't co-operate with courts and union government. As a commission is formed under the leadership of former supreme court judge, the truth will be laid out in state assembly and parliament.

@beelikepro the reason he is not resigned yet coz he knows he has the numbers that's my point the president rule should be implemented when the state government is unable to sustain governance for more than considerate time and I think 100 days which is fair enough to apply governor rule and if that would have happened in non bjp state it would have been atleast 2 months of governor rule by now and they bjp is busy in Delhi's power struggle and shifting the blame and about court yup they want to control the court too first time cgi started questioning them they don't want him in election commission of India so yup I was supporting them in 2014 wanted them to be in power but after watching them for 9 years they are doing the same thing which Indira Gandhi did killing democracy and divide and rule tactics which many political leaders did in past

Brother India was divided on the basis of the cast so I personally feel that if the Muslims demanded for another country and they got it then the Muslims do not belong to India. Earlier I used to be a regular reader of a particular newspaper which is highly regarded as "the best" for upsc preparation and my mindset became so anti-bjp that I used to think everyone and everybody related to bjp is just stupid. Whenever I saw a prominent person joining bjp I used to be so confused and clueless that how can s/he do that! Not only I used to think that they are stupid but it seemed to me as if they are doing some crime! However as I exposed myself to the other side of the news and started following other news outlets and media, I feel that I became more open-minded and now I feel that my old self was so stupid. Now I can see the progress that is happening in our country with open eyes which I couldn't see back then due to feeding my mind with only criticism of the govt. Bjp has its own drawbacks for sure but they are also doing good in a few sectors. Every political party has some positives and some negatives. We should see them as they really are without being biased. However, whenever I say something in favor of the govt I get tagged as a bhakt and whenever I say something against the govt I get tagged as a librandu. It's really hilarious lol.
