I also started during the launch, still probably have those OG artiffacts / ctp/ Obseliks in my account I guess. I quit the game 3 years ago. The funny thing is that nothing changes, even after 3 years, as I check it out today, it's all kinda the same. Sure my characters are probably outdated now, but the game is still the same. Same repeated money milking low effort game as it was 3 years. It's all downhill since they added those blue cards and gatcha upgrade ctp pierce etc.

I feel as though at this point the player base is divided between two groups, the new players who can enjoy all the new player stuff, and then realize its not worth the effort to meta chase, and whales who have sunk unreal amounts of money in this game and cant bring themselves to delete, and as someone who falls into the 2nd category its getting harder to continue to play, the devs are truly half assing it with rinse and repeat updates, always good to hear your opinion Alex and Happy Holidays to you and your fam

Came back after 2 years this fall, was grinding away. Pretty much every update after Cable/Stryfe has been a disappointment and it's really caused me to stop caring all over again. Which is unfortunate, because MFF has been advertising a lot on KZbin, so it finally felt like the game was going to get some investment and had a direction; so to see the game flounder to end the year is a huge let down. Hopefully the dev team was in the midst of a transition or something and 2024 has a good roadmap. I think if the dev team provided some sort of path for the future, it would help reassure players that there's at least some sort of grand plan in place as opposed to being perceived as pulling everything out of their ass with no overarching theme.

Well said sir!! It’s the lack of new content for me. Never did they try to revamp and bring back Danger Room, no new Story Mode missions, no new Unis for the right characters (Bishop, Rachel Summers, Daredevil, Apocalypse, Nebula-GOG3, etc.). Marvel has TOO MANY good Storylines for the game to be where it is right now. I hope they can turn this around in 2024! Thanks for all you do for the game!

The meta uniforms that you mentioned (magneto, luna, black bolt, ghost rider, doc oc) are all seasonal and the mid ones are just regular unis.

I feel as though the devs don’t realize once a game has reached a certain time span of longevity. You have to update game modes and add more content because the player base is mostly veterans who have played this game for a long time and have become tired or burnt out on the same game modes and grind. @5:31 Worse still, these updates still take 8 hours or so! Why do updates that offer so little content require so many hours of maintenance? I hope 2024 will be the year that Netmarble breaks the patch up into four weekly updates so that the final update is done in just a few hours (if not minutes)--the mid-month should have code for the next update to make the process easier, by now anyway. More importantly, I mid-months should also be for game balancing issues, not just new skins and possibly a new character and packages for the store!

"A Christmas costume" Yeah. Noticed no holiday thing today and was kind of put off. I mean they put the lights out (textures with string lights on the awnings) but I mean not even an Inbox message with say 50 Gold saying "Happy Holiday from our family to yours". Nothing. Some rewards. They updated some in the past two months and it was a smart choice. That's all I can think of. But that and updating characters speaking of in this "drip drop" method is not the right way. Most games level up overall to keep everything useful. I "think" their angle is by dripping releases they are luring players along over time. But it's like being offered a sip of water for every dune you walk across in the desert. Eventually you will reach a point where you consider maybe just getting out of the desert and going where there is plentiful water. To your point and in the last few, which from a sales perspective is correct, yes they need offer something. A product on the shelf. And because the goal is to keep players (customers) captivated and engaged AND bring in new (money) players (returning, same diff). You have to offer people a product they want not be like "stick around and some day there will be a product on the shelf." No, there is a store across the street that sells products. Games in this case. This is me talking straight from seminars, even an Amway sit in for that matter. The basics. I know their market is a little unusual but? And when you say new content "character driven". It's essential. The first thing that brings people to these games is the characters. Marvel. DC. Star Wars. Spider-Man (using this separately because that game has hype and draw). What have you. Fandoms are the demographic. Fandoms buy stuff with their favorite characters in it. The more hardwired fans a character the more customers cross-promotion has. It's all textbook and laid out. But let's offer the masses...Andrew Lincoln and Minn-Erva. And track back to that "drip drop" right there. Else their online presence thus promotion is severely lacking. Where is the post from the brass titled "Happy Holidays!" in the forum dated 12/25/2023 followed by an enticing preview of what is to come in 2024? Yeah. Nowhere. All the players that woke up today and checked in the forum found nothing under the tree. And speaking of casinos those people are working today. I live on the tri-state. Mom is near the Great Lakes and is at a casino buffet today in straight up the middle of nowhere. But they're doing the work. Not all of us have a holiday, we work and we volunteer. And not just holiday but just an example of excuses not to do the work as you say. That is not put a product on the shelf nor even turn the lights on the shop. On one of highest traffic gaming days worldwide during peak gaming and gaming sales times of the year? No one even put the sign in the window? That is puzzling. Nice analogy about casinos, I miss the Colorado Belle. It's where I went for the holiday in 2021. And what you said is part of what happened. Someone didn't put in the work and no more place to play. I know a thing about contracts and do not see MFF closing up in the near future, mainly I know how Disney operates and then there is that elusive Korean market. But worldwide players are decreasing and Netmarble took a big loss last year. I imagine the numbers come 2024 will reflect the same. And that can't hold forever. Drip drop, indeed. January. I see the Echo miniseries. Comic slate is Avengers Twilight, Moon Knight and some X-Men stuff. Though typical you do not cross-promote after the product has gone on sale if we are projecting end of month here. Though not a lot to work with. Probably Echo. It's not a well know thing and I can see them trying to boost it. You know the game isn't crap. We play it so? Really a lot of people (150 million plus approx) do so not too shabby. There is a draw. It's Marvel characters, that is exactly what it is. Otherwise everyone would be playing Baldurs Gate or something and their friends would be wondering when they would hang out again lol. But there are clear problems and this isn't a complex subject to understand. You don't even need to be a CEO, you just need to be a lifetime gamer to get the math. Here's hoping 2024 looks up. They did say they have initiatives so let's see if they stick with it. Clearly they do not to inject some innovation to spark hype here.

Still weak promotion though imo. They need to understand online forums are their core market for online gaming. And actually people like you who make videos for that matter. In their defense about the art snow gradients normal don't look good over their lighting type. Most people will avoid them even an artic level building because of it.

Kang is my second favourite MCU villain (behind Thanos), so I have no regrets building him as much as possible. But I can't be bothered with max building someone like Captain Marvel, since I don't really like her as a character (T4s are also expensive and I like Loki infinitely more)

Like even at a bad update, there was always something I would enjoy or get. Not so much this one, I didn't purchase a single uni, and I have a free uni ticket to use and I didn't bother with any of them. I wanted to get to the Hela uni, but aside from the visuals, it doesn't offer anything substantial from the previous uni. Nebula was tempting, but I'm concerned her time in the meta for abx/abx legend could be short live since she has no t4 and no support passive to keep her long term. Honestly there needs to be a shake up to make these updates more worthwhile, not to mention them releasing Xmas theme unis so late after holiday is passed doesn't help

The devs have gotten lazy. T4 is just a resource sink for many characters it hasn't been a boost. They're afraid of making good characters because it also pushes the content, which they haven't added any in forever. They need to upgrade the game in all areas but they haven't.

Godzilla, Beast mode kinda, myself, a lot of people falling way out of love and stopped or cut right back on making content. Its a real shame, I want this game to continue, but I just cant see it lasting til this time next year the way its going. and this method of releasing multpile of one typing in a row for T4 advancements to try and squeeze those last few drops from the remaining whales, its just writing on the wall time. The MCU is banking on Deadpool 3 to save it, and MFF may very well be the same way right now. *shrugs*

i think the game's been on life support since 2022 to be honest. i dont think ppl should worry that it's going to die, i think we're some years away from that, but the influx of content has definitely been way less and way lower quality than in the past and it only seems to be getting worse. prioritizing monetization over anything else which ofc they've always done but it wasn't this obvious before, as mff has been a pretty friendly game to f2ps. in 2021 mff was at its prime and we didnt appreciate it enough

I don't even get mad anymore when I don't finish all my daily stuff. Last week I didn't even get the massive amount of crystals that is the weekly challenges reward. I don't even do all the timeline battles so I can get a whopping 1,5M gold at the end of each week. This game sucks ass.

can we talk about another big problem... communication? like, were the hell is the sneak peek? they need a better social media team also, why is cap marvel catching strays? she's one of my fav characters they've released in good while. the whole rest of the update was absolute doodoo though
