What is wrong with my Citroen DS3? Bad Thermostat housing?!

Right there with you brother. Only mine has a peugeot badge on the 3008 with the hateful little ep6cdt engine... So far weve had two sets of timing chains, one head gasket, three thermostats, three intake pipes (keep fusing or snapping) one oil pressure regulator, one coolant tube (the fun one across the back) and my boot up its ass. Keep the faith....😂😂😂

I think I'll try a few DI flushes on mine. Coolant also brown as I only do around 3k miles a year.

Sorry 3 garages worked on the car not 4... 2 of them never said a word about the head, just changing parts, RAC breakdown recovery twice said it looks like a waterpump issue after 2 separate small overheats when coolant overflowed upto the cap.

I've got the 1.6 vti non turbo. The system builds pressure and blows the bottom of the reservoir going to the pump off. Some say it's the head gasket but it doesn't smoke, does mix oil and coolant. Will it help if I drill holes in the thermostat?

It may be a little crack in the block ... you should definitely check. How many miles you have on that car ?

How did you put safety fuse on hose on the back? I had to take off inlet manifold...

Da da to je vrlo komplikovano. U svaki slucaj strafove drze pa to ne moze nikako da izadje. Nije nikakav problem cak i bez taj osigurac

What effects to the car made you determine it was the thermostats housing?

The car would not start. Eventually, after multiple tries, it starts, but then, the display on the dashboard shows that the temperature is above 65 degrees, but in fact, the machine is completely cold. This was tested also with OBD. Do you have a similar problem?

..In my case the thermostat housing was leaking coolant, which is quite common on this model.

@@mandeo10 I Tom Im having a similar issue. Ive been told my coolant flange needs replacing, is that the same piece as the thermostat hosuing?
