Years ago I got that windows adapter and my controller would disconnect if I moved it more than 3 inches away. It was basically unusable

I’ve had nothing but issues with the windows adapter+ Xbox controller. Multiple adapters and controllers, same connection issues. I’ve moved on and I’m much happier now

I still wish microsoft found a way to work with some of the motherboard vendors to merge the microsoft-wireless technology into the motherboard to permit the cpu to start from almost cold to full start using a microsoft controller. Granted, you can use hibernation sleep mode and turn on the pc with a controller, too.

You might be able to hack something together with a raspberry pi and Wake On Lan. WOL Is an existing protocol that many motherboards already have that allow completely powered-off PC sto be powered on with a simple ping command!

The wireless adapter situation is weird, the drivers for it are from 2015, and that don't really acknowledge the product anymore. But you kinda need it if you want to fully use an elite controller wirelessly. I have all sorts of keybinds mapped to the paddles that don't work via Bluetooth

Question, when you use the wireless PC dongle with a headset, Have you experienced drops ands disconnects? I’ve test 3 official Xbox wireless headsets with the official dongle and it drops and disconnects all the time. The dongle is located directly in front of the of so there’s no blocking.
