What is XML-RPC And How to Disable XML-RPC | WordPress | CloudPages

XMLRPC allows you to communicate with your WordPress website & allows remote connection to WordPress. Windows Live Writer can directly post blogs to WordPress using xmlrpc.php. In its early days, it was, however, disabled by default due to coding problems.
Because of security concerns, XML-RPC service has been disabled by default for a long time. Starting with WordPress 3.5, this will change. XML-RPC will be enabled by default, and you will no longer be able to turn it off from the WordPress dashboard. In this video, we will show you how to disable XML-RPC in WordPress and discuss why it should be enabled by default.

FYI , if you past the code on top you will get a JSON error which you cant create new pages , so make sure past down (end of the all codes)
