She was never forgotten. Also there is no meteor in that movie. The asteroide wiping out the dinosaurs is actually a quite new therory, 1980 was the first time it was theoriezed. When they started working on the movie (1986-1988) the scientific theory was still that the dinosaurs died due to a global draught or climate change. This is why everything is so dry and there is so little food in the movie, and why they have to go to the oasis. Surprising enough it wasn't until 2010 it was scientifically endorsed that the dinosaurs got wiped out due to the asteriode. Just a fun reminder that science isn't made of undeniable truths, it just a culmination of the facts we know so far.

I think that stays with people because it shows Littlefoot grieving. He chases shadows thinking he sees her, makes foot prints like hers on his way, and doesn't loose the tree star she gave him until the end. It was the last thing she gave him so he couldn't eat it and got upset when anyone touched it.

YES LP'S "LOST ON YOU" IS SO GOOD! Also things that need to go out of style: in short, normalising Shein, Nestlé, anything Harry Potter related etc luxury purchases under the idea of "no ethical consumption under capitalism." Using that valid observation as an excuse to keep consuming from them is just so defeatist and really does tell me your thrivalous enjoyment is more important than human rights. We dont even have to be feeding into the system at all most of the time, a dollar not spent at all is still a powerful vote. And additionally, revelling in suffering. Like when we call out problematic people, we're supposed to bring their grossness to the surface for awareness, then want less of their awful behaviour to take up our minds, not to sit there and really steep in the drama and tea, really seeking out as much horrific behaviour as we can. Living for drama is really upsetting, and its kind of why i stay off of Twitter and even kind of Tiktok considering their algorithm is designed to enrage and addict.

The rhino is not the source of unicorn myths, as it turns out there was a real animal that went extinct and made it to myth status.
