Ive been binge watching a bunch of sailing/cruzing videos. The crazy thing is that the up front cost of the boat is the easy part. Lots of planing, exicution and money for this lifestyle. Mad respect. I live in alaska, try finding a slip here for less than the price of your boat. Maitence, slip fees, insurance, ext, ext It crazy expensive owning a boat can be. Truth is, a house (any) is probably better. That being said, live your dream.

Look into a 12v water heater, watch a KZbin video on a new one available. I think it would fit your needs it runs off panels or engine recirculation ….. On the AP system have fun, I just redid my old type 1 sea talk …oh what a joy !

@@halfwaymo9075 with 5 people on the boat the current demand for that would be a no go.. plus most boats only have 12dc to 48v dc and 110 v ac power … if you’re running solar power DC power is free (after installing it) so a DC water cost 0 to operate and has 0 conversion voltage loss through the inverter….

Just an idea after watching your hot water experiment. Might see if you can find black poly tank to mount on top somewhere and just pump water to it then run a small line down and gravity feed it down to one of your heads. Teach those boys to take bucket baths. Good luck guys. Love the channel.

Try installing insty connect wifi router for your internet. Been using it for over a yr now at my TX house and it's been consistent with HS 70 to 110 mbps. I'd get unlimited access as device consumption instead of throttling me after 50g per month with Tmobile

I have a 32 foot aluminum crusher that I have considered living on. I have stayed aboard for 2 to 3 months during the summer in Ohio, but winter living aboard is not doable here. I have thought about going south in the winter and north for the summer, but fuel cost makes that a challenge as well.. However I now pay for a house, utilities, taxes, and insurance plus my boat slip winter storage, seasonal fuel and boat insurance... so I think I would be able to do a live aboard if I sold my house..

when dealing with cutting items for an area that has multiple shapes and measurements i like to make a cardboard template and transfer to the material i am using. i personally have found that technique useful on several occasions. i will say that the cuts and finish that you did look fine and its always a plus when you can do it without paying someone else to do it. rewarding and a good lesson for the children.

$1200 for food! O.O Not trying to be mean, but my family only uses $300 for food per month, and that is after price increases in 2024. We are a family of 4. I think the thing is finding the best prices and quality. If food is that much, I would rethink where I am getting the food from. That's just wild. I couldn't imagine spending that much on food.

I am thrilled with our cell phone company! $25/mo for unlimited talk, text, data, and hot spot (no data limit). We use Visible, which runs off of Verizon. No contract. We have three phones in our house and a friend that is part of our "party" (she pays separately). We buy our own phones... We have a "party" you can join and we'd love to have ya!
