What it Means to Edgar Berlanga to Headline Tonight's Event at Madison Square Garden Like His Idols

Super middleweight contender Edgar "The Chosen One" Berlanga went the distance twice last year following 16 first-round stoppages to begin his pro career. After surgery to repair a torn biceps suffered last October against Marcelo Esteban Coceres, Berlanga (18-0, 16 KOs) will make his 2022 debut Saturday, March 19 in a 10-rounder against Steve Rolls (21-1, 12 KOs) at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
The Brooklyn-born Berlanga is ready to begin a new knockout streak against Rolls, a Canadian veteran who has a pair of knockout wins since a 2019 TKO defeat to Gennadiy Golovkin.
The Night of Young Stars - #BerlangaRolls and Xander Zayas-Quincy LaVallais - will be broadcast live on ESPN & ESPN Deportes (simulcast on ESPN+) at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

What I find hilarious is how he's using an excuse of being in the amateurs for too long and as a result his professional experience has been effected by that. What a joke.... Ring experience is ring experience no matter HOW you look at it. Another thing I find unusual is how Edgar "um, you know" Berlanga has a NABF belt yet hasn't done ANYTHING to deserve it. What’s does the journey throughout someone’s life have to do with one’s skill? I clearly said I like the kid did you not read that part or you just choose to read what you wanted? When he fought Coceres he got knocked down and couldn’t finish him, at times he looked sloppy and vulnerable. If you think he gets a free pass because he had a rough life then you need to reflect on your values and ideas, because this world doesn’t care about that. People shouldn’t be a product of their environment but of the choices they make in life. He is not being criticized as a person but as an athlete never hated him just stated the obvious.
