I attended Francis Chan’s church in Simi Valley, CA. Out of the blue, he quit his job as Pastor and moved up to the Bay Area to start a new ministry. He decided that the congregation in Simi Valley was too involved with the activities of daily living, like going to work, taking the kids to school, sporting activities and other activities that were too middle class. “Crazy Love” and “Radical”were the books of the day and Simi Valley wasn’t Crazy or Radical enough, so he thought he’d start over. He has no compassion for regular folks. Needless to say, the thousands of members of his church were devastated.

Poor Francis speaks of love, and with great passion too, but love has a sound, a feel, and an aroma. A tangible essence. And Francis hasn’t grasped it yet. Because deep down he still believes we have to earn it. That’s the falseness of religion but not the good news of Christ. I pray God opens Francis eyes to truth ❤

@@kathidau2869 a lot can be said without ever actually articulating it directly. That’s the subtlety of inference. Anytime you suggest that people need to DO MORE, GIVE MORE, BE MORE, you are also inferring they are not doing enough. The problem with preaching not-enough’ism is you place too much emphasis on human effort, human goodness and human strength, instead of relying completely on Christ to show his glory THROUGH our weakness (and our inescapable inadequacies). It is not achieved through human strength might or will. It’s is the finished work of Christ, with our only offering being our mustard seed sized faith. Nothing less and nothing MORE. I’ve been listening to Francis Chan since 2014… He’s a master speaker, but he still misses the reason it’s called good news again and again. Jesus said his yoke is easy and his burden is light. When the preacher makes the yoke feel hard and the burden heavy - he’s got it wrong. So close, yet so far away. Blessings to you

You should listen to Chan more often if you think he believes you must earn the love of Christ. Somewhere along the way you mistook something he said. Be careful falsely accusing God's beloved servants. There are great warning in scripture about this.

@@coledavidson1315 Again.. where did you hear or find this. This isn’t what he preaches. It’s hard for him to feel Gods love due to never being loved growing up. I can relate 100%! It’s just hard to all of a sudden feel all this love The Lord has for you, when you’ve never had it in your life before. I have the same prob but know I can’t “EARN” God’s love. Francis knows and preaches about this, too. This is the first thing mentioned in an AA book. Never been loved before.. then all of a sudden grasp and feel all this wonderful love. I want to feel it more than anything. And when I do.. my problem is feeling like it’s conditional when it’s not. Wish I could get over that🙏

Why did you only preach the opening part of verse 1 of Romans 8? Why did you "hide" the final part? Was it intentional? Romans 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, "WHO WALKE NOT ACCORDING TO THE FLASH, BUT ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT". It looks quite dangerous! I call that manipulation of the scriptures!

Request that Francis get off the fence about abortion. It is necessary to create an environment in which young people are taught ethical moral biblical values that support women, their innate modesty, dignity, chastity, and need for respect. All children deserve two married parents who respect the children's biblical birthright to consciously provide the proper environment to raise them in godly ways. Give them a chance. Speak truth to young women and males who are permitted to be predatory or immature in a culture of selfish permissiveness.
