First, I absolutely love all your videos! Your wedding video made me cry 😭 tears of joy! That being said… My husband & I pay $1700 dollars here in Colorado for a two bed two bath apartment. It is so expensive here! Electric $100 typically, Internet $106.00, gas $30.00, car insurance $290.00 for two cars, car payments $514.00, and my husband pay a different amount for his. Not getting into groceries with inflation in the U.S being so high and corporations constantly doing every shady thing in the world to make more profits. We think about moving one day perhaps, just scared of the unknown

We used to live in the Cayman Islands and we are kind of familiar with those costs. That would be awesome, Mexico is growing and many more people are moving to this beautiful country, we will be sharing more info on this topic soon, as we receive lots of questions about it 🙌. Hola Brooklyn 🤗🤗🤗 Nice to see your comment 🤩. Yes, we love DAC for those particular items that we struggle to find in the supermarket, really where do you buy the Chia seeds from? Oh Sam's bulk items are the best because end up being cheaper than buying from the regular supermarket and they deliver at our house door, that's incredible, isn't it? 🤭🤭. TBH laundry services are amazing, not having a washer and dryer can be inconvenient, but Lavanderias are here to save us 🤭🤭🥰🥰- We hope you are doing great Brooklyn, missing you and sending you all the great vibes from PDC 🏝🇲🇽

This was a great video, we got a real insight as to how much it actually cost to live in Playa. $900 a month is not bad at all, it's a pretty good price actually. We love how your location changes as the video progresses while talking about one category. We're in Skopje, North Macedonia right now and we paid $541 for 3 weeks for this AirBnb. I think for the month it would've been like $620.

Hi friends 🤗🤗 Ah, you're in Skopje?? Two of my favorite friends I've ever made are both from there! Haha, I don't know if it was just them or a Macedonian thing, but they love to call people they don't like 'donkeys' which always made me laugh 🫣😅😂 Are you guys liking it there? So that works out to less that US$30 per night, which is not bad at all! I think around the time you guys were here, Airbnbs were around that but we've noticed in the last 6 months the cheapest airbnbs in places like Tulum, Playa and Isla Mujeres have shot up to around US$50 per night 🫣 Thank you so much for your sweet comment, we're really glad to know you enjoyed the video 🤩🙌 Ya, keeping our living expenses under US$1000 per month has really helped us live off our savings while building up some new streams of income 🙏 The fact that we pay so little for our house has really saved us 🙏🙏 We hope you guys are keeping healthy and happy and we're sending you both a big hug 🤗🤗

Very interesting and thorough video! I definitely found PDC quite expensive when I lived there. I am currently based in Bangkok, Thailand. I pay the equivalent of 7,500 Mexican Peso for a small, clean apartment in the heart of the city with a pool, gym, laundry, security, reception etc. I spend about another 8,000 on food, drinks, transport, utility bills, phone/internet etc. Travel to other parts the country and flights to other countries in the region are pretty cheap too. Very safe place also. Locals are really friendly and helpful too - as they were in Mexico. Food is great and the weather is usually good. All in all, a good place to be a digital nomad.

Thank you, we're so happy to know you enjoyed it 🙌😊 When were you living here? Geovanny's family moved here in 2006 and he always said how prices just shot up as Playa became more and more of a tourist hotspot 👀 We so look forward to one day relocating to a quieter, more authentic town/city in Mexico 🙌🇲🇽 $7500 is not bad at all for all you get - especially the laundry, pool and gym 🤩 That's not bad for all your additional expenses either. Do you find that you go out often, or are you more of a homebody like Geovanny and I?😊 Thailand has always been on our radar to visit, and we have a friend who lived there for quite some time and said that the look and feel of Playa reminded her a lot of Bangkok 🤩🙌 I think that one of the major benefits you have living in Thailand over Mexico is that Playa has seen a major spike in crime in recent years 🫣 We feel totally safe, but I think you rest easier at night when you know that crime rates are low 🙌 Thank you so much for watching!

@@ForTheRoadTravels I was living in PDC a couple of years ago. I will hopefully be back there early next year. Not a fan of Tulum either btw! Might try one of the regions you suggested in the video. I don't go out drinking that much either. That would definitely raise my expenditure a lot. 😅 I am sure you will definitely enjoy Thailand. It certainly has lots of things in common with parts of Mexico. The people are generally really friendly in both - especially if you speak a bit of the local language. That certainly helps break down any barriers.
