I truly love to see this couple, Kem & Alex, together; their honesty, & respect for each other, really shows how much they love each other. Yes, I agree, Alex is a keeper. He thinks before he speaks, so as not to say anything disrespectful or hurtful to Kem; as he asks her first to make sure if she agrees with him if it is OK to say something before he says. That shows how humble he is, & that he cares about her feelings about her culture, & the fact that she is Jamaican. I hope that The Lord continues to bless them with much love, success, & happiness! 11:45PM

We, like you, are an interracial husband and wife, and my wife is Afro-Latina Cubana. I’m loving the similarities here - so fun to watch and compare. And a lot of Jamaican-girl things maybe could also be more generalized into Caribbean-girl things, due to the journey of Africans through the Caribbean through the centuries? Of course then each island-nation formed their own culture and flavor, which is so magical to observe - really beautiful. But this video caused some fun convo between my wife and I - thank you 😊🙏

I have never known what it was like to not embrace the hair that. was on my head. It is curly and long. The distinction comes from others. In. My family hair comes in all the patterns and my parents, now that I think about it, ensured we 4 girls embraced the beauty of our hair and its unique caring of it. Black people (I'm black) have been taught that straighter hair is better. Not the case. It has taken decades for American black culture to reverse that trend.

You mentioned your hair, my suggestion as your hair is natural like my own. You could put your hair in chiney bumps or instead of pulling them out you could put them in twists. There are products you could buy to help keep the twist from unravelling. Another idea is what you said which is the wearing of wigs thats another option. It will keep your hair protected from the harsh winter weather, but still give your natural hair space to breath sometimes. But its better for your hair to be kept natural and your fiance likes your hair natural. Variety is the spice of life, so change up your hair but keep it natural. Never relax your hair it will damage your natural hair and costs too much with all the products you need to buy to maintain it. Stay natural.
