That was a really cool idea to stop in Hawaii on your way to Japan! The direct flight to Japan from California is like 14 hours, way too long a flight to endure!

Hey Guys… I LOVE the Tokyo Hilton!! It’s where they’ve always put us up for projects. They have an AMAZING breakfast buffet. I wish I had known you were going there. They have a very reasonable bus to the airport and back. The price is per person so it might have been less with the van but it’s sure good to know about. Check on it down in the lobby just to the right of the door outside. They also have a convenience store all the way down in the lobby from the elevators with a little snack/food shop on the right. The Toy Story Hotel is VERY new, can’t wait to see that! There is. Monorail station right there but you’ll need yen for that. Have a great stay!!

yes i stayed there before and loved the buffets - i stick with western food (plus some fun smoothies) and boyfriend tried a load of interesting stuff for his breakfast. Pity its coming up very expensive when i visit in October.

I remember when we went to Hawaii it was the summer of 86 mom got us lost on a dirt road in a mustang convertible. We had chocolate covered macadamia nuts from the ABC stores every day. Enjoy your world wide vacation.

When you show the display of packages of Macadamia nuts, for some reasons it reminds me of my late mother because she loved those nut since she worked in Hawaii for at least two years as a Air Force Personnel during the 50’s. I mean when I pick my type of nut from any store anywhere in the lower 48 states, she asked me to find Macadamia nut package.

My daughter and the whole family on her husband's side went to Japan last month. She told me that on the airplane it was hot. She likes Japan and she loves Disney Tokyo. They also went to Under the sea and Universal Studios. It was a little culture shock for the family and how Japanese people are very polite.

Amanda, I’m prone to dehydration. A quick tip- focus an entire day on hydration. I use Gatorade, glug as much of it as you can until your pee is almost clear! If I don’t catch it at the beginning, I get very sick.

Don't like coconut ha ha! I might have picked the sea salt chocolate or the regular chocolate. That is a huge plane...reminds me of flying on a 747 that was huge. Amazing how they build these. Be careful guys! That dehydration thing certainly is nothing to mess with, I learned the hard way!

The little packages of macadamia chocolates are perfect gifts for people in Japan. They don’t accept tip but usually will take small gifts and love that kind of thing.

I'm surprised that you got through security so quickly in Honolulu. That line is always so long! It was SOOOO COOL to see the entrance into the resort as you drove in! If you can add that to the "list of things we want to see" That would be really cool to see as you enter each park/resort area! Can't wait to see what the next adventure is!

Air Japan is nice, its what I flew out on when I went out there. Be glad you are going to Japan first then off to Hong Kong. I flew from SF to Hong Kong, 14 hour flight. And when we got there we couldn't land since it was so busy so we had to circle for another hour. You guys have amazing time.

8 hours... good time you got a break in Hawaii, going from LA to Hawaii for 6 hours, waiting probably 3 or more hours, before 8 hours of flight. When I'll be going I'll have to wait like 5 hours at Toronto airport before a 12 hours flight :x and I can't seem to sleep on a plane :(
