“It’s not a sex book!” That’s exactly what my dad called it when he saw that I was reading GoT.

same says that the wind of winter does not finish because martin can’t stop writing “scenes”

Maybe the reason winds of winter is taking so long is because Martin is writing with one hand

Do bother. It's extremely enjoyable and the next book is probably not as far away as people think.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have :)

@@anormalperson7161 I vaguely remember something saying that he was writing A Dream Of Spring alongside WoW, do you know if that's true? If it is then now is probably the best time to start like you said

Come on))) The TV show added three times as much explicit content and now everyone thinks the books are low key porn fiction. But it's not so! You start reading and realise it's much more about psychology, politics, economics, warfare, religion, and only occasional nude scenes, albeit very vivid.

I brung A Clash Of Kings with me on a school trip, and the chapter that my roommates happened to ask me what was going on was when Theon met Asha for the first time since his childhood.

if you think thats bad, try reading the Dark Tower during any scene where Detta Walker surfaces and opens her mouth with someone looking over your shoulder

I have read A game of thrones and A clash of kings and I'm already addicted to it,btw can you throw some recommendations after I read the rest?(I might need some new book addiction)
@derkeks3591Ай бұрын
I am a little late but who cares. So after GOT you should read the first law series by Joe Abercrombie. He is a huge GOT fan and it shows his books are also dark and gritty but it feels in no shape or form like a rip off and f'ing amazing

I refuse to read GoT until the next book is released, why read them all only to wait another 5 years, George should just drop/kill a bunch of characters so the book is quicker and easier to write, too many characters means way more time, effort and doesn't move the plot along.
@niklasl38805 ай бұрын
Then you'll never read it, because, let's face it, he will never finish it. :(
@miketravelsnowhere65575 ай бұрын
I definitely understand. I feel that way about other books on my shelf that I need to start reading but have put off for that reason. I am glad I read GoT though and I while it may never finish I can still appreciate the books that George RR Martin wrote.
