i want everyone who goes to a predominantly white school or everyone in general to watch this, people rlly need to start putting themselves in other people’s shoes and hear other experiences. as someone who goes to a predominantly white being a black girl a lot of this hit close to home even though i do still have a very different background and experience then some of you. but i loved this video and wish the best for you all

My high school was 99% white, and I was the ONLY BLACK FEMALE in my GRADE. There were four black males in my GRADE. Other grades had at least 2-3 black females and 4-6 black males. EVERYDAY my classmates used to point and laugh at my skin color, throw stereotypes on me, and tarnish my image. Now they be seeing me on Facebook and I once in a while bump into them in person. I don’t pay attention to them now, I just go my way and focus on my career.

I need advice. I’m a young black girl going to a predominantly white high school and I’m worried none of the guys will be interested in someone of my color. I want a date to the dance and to eventually get into a relationship but what if I’m none of the guys “type” or is it possible that I will be?

Some of the things they said I agree as a black girl in a white school but other things like dabbing and the way people are speaking is dumb, your race doesn't define how you talk or what things you enjoy.

hey girls. im 5 years late but today i was called the hard 'er' by a white boy around my age for the first time in my life! I have been living in a white town majority of my life, and neighboring town i went with my friends today is lowkey know to be racist. but since it was fourth of july, many races will show up. so it was late and i was walking down a main street alone to my car, and out of nowhere, i was minding my biz and this boy almost shouts ' look, there goes a n*gger! ' basically catcalling me right next to me. out of all of the microaggressions, fake blaccents when people talked to me, all of the white washed allegation (smh), it happened. it was literally like in the movies yall. he still had the nerve to say it just because of the color of my skin. I did NOT know him at ALL. AT ALL!!!! these people don't care how you treat white people, at the end of the day we will be treated differently simply because we are black. forever. im still in total shock and i can't believe someone my age, in this time where I thought AT LEAST the new generation, MY generation would have some progression past such an unacceptable word had the audacity to say that square in my face with a big grin on his face. of course i cussed him out and was livid, but the one this that god forbid you are in this situation ever, please take out your phone and record, which is what i didn't do. please dont make the same mistake i did. to conclude my little rant, i just wanna say thank youuuu or making this video. i feel SO MUCH less alone, even so many years later. i'm trying to tell myself this everyday, but we will get through this girls! one day at a time :)

Omg, I’m not black, but as an middle eastern girl that goes to a very white school I totally feel the same way with everything. Im from europe so its a bit different here with school system and like scholarships, I’m still in high school and i graduate in 2 years and honestly eventho in like the breaks i only hangout with girls with the same culture (just like you guys) , i can’t wait to go out of here. Its so draining to wake up every morning not feeling going to school, I never told my parents or close friends but I hate the school. Im not trying to be dramatic because obviously after 4years there, the white kids know what they can and what they can’t say to me or the other POC but they still slip sometimes hoping we won’t say anything about it. Just like one dude casually said the n-word, and let me tell you this the only ones that said something about it and confronted him were the other middle eastern girl in class and me. But okay what i was trying to say is that it happens all over the world and sorry but i don’t recommend going THEY DON’T MIX (obviously not every one but on my school almost evry one) I feel so bad for my 12year old self trying to fit in whit them eventho they ignored me.
