Being a different nationality with parents, living as a "foreigner" in Korea. None of this is easy, and despite the heartbreaking words they've heard in Korea, these kids are finding happiness in the midst of it all.

What is this obsession with the idea of immigrant and mixed race kids beings “just Korean”????? They’re not “just Korean”. They are their own nationality, and if they’re mixed then they’re a part of the other parent’s culture! That doesn’t make them any less appreciative of Korea and it’s culture!

Just how every nationality have people with good hearts, there are some bad apples. It’s a trait carried by ignorant people. But the important thing is how you handle the situation. And their parents did a mighty fine job raising them correctly.

It's only deemed an issue because of your hypocritical and destructive mentality. These children are humans like you and I are. I, for one, will neither dehumanize nor marginalize another based on physicality. We're all the progeny of Adam; we all have come off of Noah's ark. We are of the same stock. In reality, there isn't such a thing as a "pure breed." We are all "mutts" if you think about it.

It’s the adults fault in their (kids) suffering. Adult should have thought it thru n take them back to their color ethics. Asian will take awhile to accept ur color no how hard u try. It’s just the Asian way. Like in any culture.

@kunabubbles8035 Strange, your response just supports my argument, no? Life has taught me that people are people, regardless of phenotypical features. They all exhibit the same complaints, prejudices, hypocrisy, flaws, past sins, etc. Life happens. Their parents sought a better life. Some of them fell in love with spouses who don't look like them. Should you penalize, bully, and ostracize their children? Or, should you do the right thing and treat them with equal dignity and respect? Moreover, "the adults" are not at fault here. How so? They understood that people aren't so different at all. So....like I previously stated, "It's only deemed an issue because of your hypocritical and destructive mentality." These children's "suffering" are the result of folks with your views. Yes, it is in our human nature to cause disunity, strife, and division based on certain differences. But, there are those of us who have wisdom, common sense, cognizance, and compassion to resist that taint in all of us, ergo we do not treat another "breed" as a different species. According to you, Asians tend to be insular and tribal, yes? However, should one seek to please, or seek the validation of, a particular racial group for that group's immoral perspective and expectation? I say, "Nay." I would resist. I think a people's perspectives must adapt and improve if they're found lacking, no? A culture's teaching finds definition in conflict, controversy, etc.; it either finds itself or finds itself lacking. BTW, fellow, I am what you would categorize as Asian. Particularly, I am an American of Korean descent. I used to think like you...but I was much worse. I was very wrong in my flawed beliefs and feelings.

@kunabubbles8035, if I may also state something that's common sense? Even if different phenotypical groups don't "mix," people, by their sinful nature, will always find some way to divide and discriminate even within those who look like them. Asians against other Asians, Blacks against other Black's, Whites against other Whites, Native tribesmen against other Native tribesmen......or Northern Indians against Southern Indians, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Sri Lankans, etc. I ask that your heart be filled with compassion for your fellow man, regardless of national borders and ethnic background. Negative emotions and biases can powerfully set one's cognition down an unfortunate subjective, relative direction to the point wherein it causes unjust suffering both to others and to oneself. I would know.
