It really comes down to where you live! In most major cities in 2021, interracial dating isn’t a big deal. With that said, you may see certain things when you travel. The US is just too mixed up with multiple races. It’s bound to happen!

That's true! Definitely just depends on where you are. For the most part we've been blessed to not have too much discrimination against us, but every now and then there's always that one person who just can't bite their tongue and get with the times unfortunately.

My son is African American and his girlfriend is Filipino as well and now they have a 10 month old sweet darling baby that is mixed love it

We are an older couple and have been married for seven years. We live in North San Jose (Berryessa). my dad white and my mom japanese but my dad isn’t as accepting of the interracial thing.. i feel really bad for the guy i’m talking to, and i know it’s a lot of pressure on him but he’s very optimistic about it

I don't believe people should stay with their own race and only marry with them I think it's all about attraction and chemistry No matter what the race of the person is . If It was all about Marriage within your own race there would be a real low divorce rate Amongst people from your own race But that is not the norm at all. PS I just love women period of all races & shades of color

every black person should take ancestry test in this country. I say that to say every time we talk about who we are all we say is we're black. Parts of who I am traces back to Cameron. I tel that to my son and he loves that. Also, you marry who you love and who loves you. Race doesn't matter when it comes to loving someone.

It would be really cool for both of us to see what races and backgrounds we come from. Definitely would love to do one of those tests one day, but yes, race definitely shouldn't matter when it comes to who you love and want to marry. Unfortunately, the world doesn't always see it that way though.

I LOVE Philapino (sp?) food. Sorry that it’s misspelled (phone didn’t auto-correct) ;) years ago when my Dad was stationed in California (40 years ago) LOL my Dad had a Philippino family take care of me while he worked (he had custody of me) and they took me to church with them (before my Dad got saved) and I can remember her making lumpias (again sp?) but they were the bomb as well as the fried bananas and I can remember her fixing salmon or some type of big fish and placed it on a big platter in the center of the table. You brought back so many memories. :)

I think dating your own race is much easier, I know most interracial try to lie on this question but for the sake of peace, they just say,"am ok with my partner". The truth is they are some areas that their race flow better but love overcome all. Interracial comes with alot of challenges. Eg disciplining your children, black beat them while white don't beat so it gets alot of heat in the marriage at times

Wow, I was expecting a sob story about how how rough life is as an interracial couple. That was the previous Life as an interracial couple. The wife using her "white privilege" to protect her dark skinned husband from the horrors of racist horrors of the world story. And it appalls me that thats a dynamic especially in 2020. Now I won't pretend that its not a vulnerable point, and they were being honest, given that it was made when racial tension was at its most chaotic. But it still makes me cringe. Listening to this dependency and self free fall. But you two seem like actual equals. I applaud that. Granted, they were probably exposed to media.
