Im indian with iraqi heritage both sides of my family the AKKADIANS AMORITES Both mixed with the Canaanites who are the dravidians who are the original mediterranean and sumerian people , the amorites also mixed with a canaanite peopl same as pure native americans also like mexican natives. Semites by themselves are not canaanites, it is/was a mix. Arami tribe ad conquered iraq and syria mixing with the Akkadians and amorites making them aws/uz in origin when actual tribe of ad perished Prophet Hud pbuh was with arami tribe thamud who are from him, they lived from north arabia to greater part of syria mixing with the assyrians and it was the akkadians who are from Prophet Hud pbuh when tribe of thamud went astray Prophet Saleh pbuh was sent to them and when then perished it was the amorites who are from Prophet Saleh , the amorites are the original Hebrews (whether before Saleh or because of him,im not sure) when actual tribe of thamud perished was sometime during the assyrian empire it was the akkadians who formed the Arameans who are the Cahldeans who are the Nabateans who mixed/absorbed the amorites, not sure if all) the akkadians and amorites are canaanite in origin( because of a mix) they are arami in origin because of mixing with the ad and thamud and they have an element of Arphaxad . They mixed with people of Joktan(Qahtan) and descendants of Abraham pbuh Abraham is only from Arphaxad ,that is incorrect Assyrians were same time as the he Indo aryan hittites and Mitanni and the Chaldeans were same time as the Lydians and Medes

My late Aunt's neighbor (in Parel, Mumbai) was a Jewish-Zoroastrian couple: the husband a Baghdadi Jew, and his wife an Irani Parsi. Consider this: both, the husband and wife belonged to ancient religions, and they had ancestors who originated in faraway Persia/Mesopotamia. And then, some of them emigrated, wandering the world, and finally coming to Bombay/Mumbai. And there, two of their descendants decided to join here in India and start a. family. Isn't it unique? During my college days in Pune, I had quite a few Jewish friends, mostly Marathi-speaking folk like you. I now live in Cochin, and very near my house is an ancient Jewish cemetery! What an amazing coincidence, eh? I enjoyed your video, and love hearing the Mumbai accent. Really! Keep it up and do post more videos.

I had been to their homes & there was no difference, similar painted walls, curtains, bed styles. There was one difference, there was no "Devhara" in their place. Aarons Family was unique, he was European fair pink, so was his father and sister. they almost looked foreigner. they spoke Marathi at home, with almost perfect pronunciation, English was good. Their mother looked different, she was pure Indian, she wore Saree & Bindi. Aarons sister Elizabeth, she was also European fair pink, spoke excellent Marathi, she wore saree, looked gorgeous, but did not wear Bindi. I knew they were jewish, did not bother me at all, We were friends. We were not aware of Jewish festivals, but all my jewish friends celebrate all Hindu festivals together, like Indians, bursting crackers, eating faraal, It was always nice to take Faraal & go to their place during the first day of Diwali, they would bring some sweets as cannot return the dish empty.

Don't you miss India? I am of Indian origin but born in a British/french colony. I speak hindi, french and English. I am very attached to everything indian, i even studied in India and it helped ne grow my roots even deeper in my ancestral culture. But now i live in America... that's the fourth culture i am living in. At this point, i consider myself a global citizen; am able to relate to many different cultures. And it doesn't cause any identity crisis in me, i actually enjoy the diversity.

Sorry to tell you brother, Sikhs are not technically ( biologically) an ethnicity. There are mostly Punjabi Sikhs, but there are Bihari, UP, Bengali Sikhs as well. Sikhi is for everyone who feels that the message of the Gurus is for them and they believe they can uphold their ideals with full respect can become a Sikh. You're most probably of Punjabi decent.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am an Indian American, in the midst of 2 apparently conflicting cultures. There is a lot that I relate to in both cultures, and a lot that I don't. Fortunately both the cultures allow me to be 'me' with my beliefs and practices when I extend the same privilege to other. Over the period I realized that when I anchor myself in the universal principles, I get better a understanding of the differences and conflicts. That gives me a way to find common grounds to connect with others and be at peace. I also enjoy knowing the best of both cultures.

The fact is you or your parents were jewish now but once your great grand parents were hindus if your roots are indian. And yes sadly 90% Indian's don't know there's a religion called jewsish, most know abrahamic faiths as christian or moslim.

I'm aware of the Jewish community of Cochin. Are you from there or another area? Your video is quite fascinating. I think being mixed in 2023 does not make you an outcast but someone very special. In your case you have had the benefit of growing up in India with many Hindus, and now you have made Aliyah in Israel. Even in the work place and your everyday life, you have the benefit of having lived in two cultures, which is a huge advantage when it comes to adapting to new environments and being able to make friends with people who are different from you. I'd like to hear you speak Hebrew in your next videos and interview some Indians living in Israel.

No country in the world has assimilated so many different cultures, religions, ethnicities..so smoothly without making much deal about it. In western country, people make so much deal about multiculturalism while in India it exists so naturally. Don't hate anyone based on religion, Spread values of Indianness wherever you go and live. Wish you good luck and Shalom

I'm from kerala living in Canada. There were a lot of Jews who lived for centuries in kerala and on the 70s and eighties migrated to Israel mostly because their young ones could not find suitable jewish partners for marriage in kerala as their numbers were dwindling. I have read that there used to be a malayalam speaking community in Israel... but they must be really old now. Fascinating to read and understand the history of the Jewish people!
