I’ve been running at Stage 3 with my Mk8 since February, put about 9k miles on the car since, and it’s been really fun. These cars are a ton of fun to drive with the extra power that tunes and upgrades provide.

You should get rid of the burble tune and just get a resdelete you already get pops naturally without it. Me personally the burbles are obnoxious but if that what you like then do the res delete it will really pop !

When are you getting a gas hood strut? Been stage 2 unitronic on my mk8 for about a year now. Just ordered the uniflex kit and going to get their flex fuel tune next.

My mk7 is 8 years old now with 110,000 miles and it makes like 380 wheel. These cars don't drive any different from stock even with big power, except a little more turbo lag. Sucks about the flex stuff, i think EQT is still working on that. Idk why people still buy handheld flash tuners like its 2001 lol. An SL-1 bluetooth dongle is $100 and you can flash and log on your phone with Simostools. I paid $400 for a custom flex tune and $100 for the dongle and i can flash revisions and send logs from my phone while im out getting groceries.

Just check all of the tuners. APR, UNITRONIC, O34, EQT, they all have similar figures close to 350 on E85. Some of them are pushing 400+ on a stage 1+ E85 tune. I'm stage 2 low torque with the Uni 91 and I'm sitting at about 330. Full torque with E85 puts it at 417.

That's easy to do with a mk7 or 8. EQT went 10s on the street with a 100% stock hardware mk8 R. All it had was a tune, not a single part on the car changed from stock.

@@evolvingguy2766 from what I’ve seen the mk8s from factory are tuned on 87 and it’s on the gas cap. I still put in 91 going back to stock tho👌🏽

I was running a high torque revision from eqt(Afr was about 13.5 ish, where it was supposed to be) but noticed my dsg temps got too hot & one day got a message saying transmission was too hot…flashed back to low torque & was running lean again so at this point it’s the tune, car is bone stock… 1 step colder plugs but I get some knock especially on cylinder 2… 034 claims you’ll have no issues running oem plugs on a stage 1 tune with e85 so might try oem plugs to get rid of the majority of knock

I haven’t ran into any issues like that yet fortunately but I did switch back to stock for the weekend. Seen a couple vids saying it’s good to run regular gas every now and then when running E🤙🏾

It’s really preference, I didn’t care for a sun roof or a big screen. This was my exact spec I wanted, the S trim is the lightest of them all and it still retains the volume knobs. Everything else mechanical is all the same👌🏽

I have the SE with the leather seats and I love it but it’s not absolutely necessary. Just depends what you want. The ventilated memory seats are a nice touch. I doubt the screen makes a difference.

@@bladerunner_92 yea which is pretty nice, but also summer tires and I need all seasons where I live. The other issue for me was the price. At that point you’re a couple thousand from an R. Still it’s worth it for some. Really depends what matters to each person. I test drove an autobahn and it was pretty nice, ride quality made it feel like 2 different cars.

get a base bro I drive an SE and the big screen is laggy asf. I tried looking through all forums and everyone says they have the small screen= no lag. I rarely use my sunroof tbh im in florida its wayyy to hot for that shi. I wish I got an S all day. up to you at the end of the day but man my upg screen is annoying especially at night I can't see the volume slider at all. The knobs would be way more useful.
