Sorry, you got motion sickness when it was time to enjoy the run. Anyway I tell you a little secret. Next time you're going to get in this motion thing again, boil a few slice fresh ginger and add honey to mild sweetness. You will thank yourself you did. Let me know if this home remedy work for you. Last time I ask my daughter to use when she was coming to Virginia. She smiles and said dad your recipe work like a charm. HuGGs Sam.

Don't feel bad LT. I had the same experience during my orientation flight in the F-16 while stationed at Torrejon Spain. We did a max climb take off and were the lead ship for a flight of four up to the bomb range. Our left wing was our Wing CC. We dropped bombs and shot 20 MM rounds at several targets. When the 20 MM goes off it shakes the plane pretty violently. I didn't spew until we were on our way back to the base. Pulled 7.5 + Gz it was awesome. Kept my lights the whole time. AIM HIGH AF. GO AF BEAT ARMY & NAVY. Peace out.

KZbin suggested me this video one week after my first flight in the backseat of a F-16. I'm an air force military photographer also. I have to say it was the best mission I had so far; I had 4x F-16 flying in formation to photograph. But this was just part of the flight. The most part was dogfight, so I just enjoyed the ride! Luckily I didn't suffer from motion sickness. 😁 Keep up the good work! Already started following your channel!

That's awesome Sam! I flew with them in April 2017 during Operation Atlantic trident - all your preflight and training brought back fond memories. It was supposed to be a photo flight, but none of the other aircraft could join up with us after getting killed by F-22s three times (LOL), as we were far out in the range area. Luckily I didn't puke, but chuckled when i saw the big zip loc bag, which I had as well. Great suggestion by them. I also had my mask off a few times and the AC vent full bore in my face LOL

Tea glad I found your channel, my dad is Canadian ex-military of 21 years service. He was an aircraft mechanic that originally started on T-Birds and Hercules, then eventually moved on the F-18's I've been lucky enough to go to see some cool things with the F-18's the most memorable is sitting in it while doing a run up with afterburners on. I'll never forget that, especially as a kid I was mind blown. Then just exploring the hangers during down time. I guess that's the benefit of a small town yet a large base. "Cold Lake" anyways great video, brings back memories!

I flew with an RAAF pilot in a RedBull racing plane, the same insane one they use in their races you’ve probably seen before. Doing aerial acrobatics thousands of feet above the coast of NSW on a perfectly clear early summer day is something I’ll never forget. Pulled 8Gs at our maximum and I handled it extremely well, never felt lightheaded or disoriented once. The negative 4 Gs we pulled did not feel nice though

Cool shooting. I wish I had the capability in my flight time in the T-37. That was 1985 at Williams. What a great time when I got the stick from my instructor and got to put it thru some paces. The only thing that rivaled that as aerobatic flying in an open cockpit Pitts biplane. Thanks for showing us that Talon.

Excellent production - professional quality throughout..BTW - that last 'surprise' was simply the break for landing.. you did really well to hold everything down on an operational sortie - not a ride-along.
@timothywitt4864
@timothywitt4864 3 жыл бұрын
I don't think this was an operational training sortie. This looks like a standard incentive ride for non flyers. We had a flight surgeon psychiatrist assigned to our squadron who went on an operational training mission while we were deployed on a weapons training deployment. He wanted to see a full up mission for his professional education. He got so sick that he had to be hospitalized after landing. He didn't even make it to the range before his pilot said he needed to knock it off and return to base. I get a kick out of people who think they're hot sticks because they can fly some fighter simulation on their home computer and then go fly an actual fighter. It's more than pushing buttons and moving a joystick.

While at Field Training (Lackland AFB 1995), seven of us out of 425 cadets qualified (based on our perfect PFT scores) to ride in one of these training jets. What in incredible experience. All seven of us blacked out and we all puked. I've still got a picture of myself and the pilot standing next to the jet that we'd just ridden and my face was as white as the barf-bag that they had us use. Great memories!
