I did my first century on the first day of 2025 on a single speed and man, it was ROUGH. I had the same anxious feeling the night prior but it’s so worth it.

You should get credit for the miles you rode to get to the century. A century on fixed! Way to rock it. Its so cool you guys are in such good shape. And riding through the cramps and getting dropped. Thats spirit. We need all guys in the army.

I haven't heard that name in years, holy shit. Last I checked on him, he was advocating drinking sprite becasue sugar is actually good for you.
@brosettastone7520
@brosettastone7520 13 күн бұрын
@ sugar is good for you in moderation. Your body needs glucose to convert into energy. Obviously natural sugars are better, like fruit
@Hardware244
@Hardware244 12 күн бұрын
@@brosettastone7520 It depends on ones intended goal(s). Ketones are perfectly suitable and stable for long endurance sports and any glucose the body needs can derive from gluconeogenesis otherwise. There's no requirement for exogenous sugar or carbohydrate in the human diet.
@12bestskater12
@12bestskater12 12 күн бұрын
@@brosettastone7520 There is nothing moderate about the sugar found in sprite. Our bodies are not equpied to metablize that much simple sugar dumped into our blood stream at one time. Durianrider is an indiot roid user who should be ignored.

So where's the bathroom? . . . In all honesty, great ride and nice to meet you + so many other riders! First time riding in Sac and Davis. I did my best to prepare for this ride and it really pushed me! Looking forward to the next one be it a chiller or a sender.

Single speed on flats isn't too bad. I've got a 2x in the front and 10 in the back for some good climbs. Did my first century last year with 4k ft of climbing. Rode all over the bay and ended in SF. Nutrition is key 🔑

hes a human being, not a comic book character. No one stays at a fixed ability at all times. Time off, injuries,diet changes, age, so many things affect how we perform day to day, month to month. Esp since hes just a youtuber, not a professional athlete

@kiranmukherjee1086 hmmm interesting. Looks like a lack of communication, maybe a group chat before the start of a ride so when things like this does happen it's a little more organized. Zack could've easily said ," hey guys let's stop for lunch and break here at (location) " but he probably just felt ditched and said f It lol

At 20:35 😮😮 is that an iphone 12 mini? really really didn't think he was still using the iphone 12 mini in 2025. wow that was awesome.. 💪🏼 ps: when talking about muscle cramps I also experienced it before while cycling 100km with a fixed gear bike..it felt like someone had a stroke. my legs couldn't be folded but I tried to bend my knees and luckily I was able to get home safely after that.😮‍💨🥲 that was the worst experience I've ever had..😅✌🏼💪🏼🚴‍♀️😊
