We’re still there now but the rainbow lorikeets are so friendly like today I was eating 🍽️ watermelon 🍉 and this bird 🐦 comes up and landed 🛬 on my shoulder and we have become friends with one that comes back every morning at 9:00am to have so watermelon 🍉 and to chill on my shoulder but it’s amazing here ❤️ 💕

Lol tried eating my breakfast out there and about fifteen birds came flying in and some fight and it’s not fun when you mom I terrified of birds and she goes out for smokes and they land on her

Not such a big deal as heaps of us lived there for years free of charge as construction workers. The place was heaps more fun and welcoming on Keith Williams watch. Now it's like an expensive suburb. YUCK

Is the food expensive there? Have heard it's almost double the price you pay in the big cities, or is that untrue?

I don’t personally think that’s true. The nice restaurants are on par with what I pay where I live and on par with nice restaurants in the city if not less. I’d say basic pub food may be slightly more but not extravagant. I think people compare it to places like Bali and expect it to be cheap like that. Alcohol is a little more expensive but to be fair they have to ferry everything in to the island. The local IGA prices on Hamilton Island I found to be similar to those on the mainland.
