It might be deceptive on video but it’s a great slope for beginners in my opinion. The only issue is that it can get very crowded

Outstanding collection!! Does your area take any cold spell in winter, short freezes?
@JohnDeMartinАй бұрын
Thank you! No I'm lucky I live on the east coast of Australia and never get frosts. It very rarely drops below 8 degrees celsius (46f). I believe in my area though if you were to travel inland say half an hour there would be occasional frosts. Being close to the ocean keeps the temperatures pretty mild.
@lmartsАй бұрын
@@JohnDeMartin Lucky you! Here on the east coast of Spain, although rarely, there could be some light frost in January. The varieties I have planted in the ground hold up well, but who knows if others could be too harmed or even die.
@JohnDeMartinАй бұрын
@@lmarts once they’re a bit bigger they should be ok. If it’s only a short frost you might just experience the ends dying back but they should reshoot in spring. I find the red frangipanis dislike the cold more than the typical white and yellow.

Definitely recommend using compost and manure to add nutrients to the soil over potting mix. Potting mix isn’t the most natural ingredients for outdoor soil. Compost and manure have way more benefits for the garden and plant nutrients.

@JohnDeMartin3 ай бұрын
Thanks. I just rewatched it and realised I didn’t show putting them back in. I take them out a little under cooked then add them back before I put the pasta in. I take them out so they don’t overcook while the veggies cook. They finish cooking at the end when the sauce and pasta combines in the pan.

How much it did cost you overall?? That's some next level resort type backyard i have ever seen. I love open spaces with greeneries, water bodies, decks, bar area and all. I belong to India and would love to have atleast 50% of this type of backyard in my future home.😃😃
@JohnDeMartin4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Im glad you like it. Its really hard to put a price on it as each was section was done over many years. If you can do a lot of the planting and propagating yourself it'll be a lot cheaper but constructing anything like pools and buildings are many tens of thousands of dollars. The more you can do yourself the cheaper it would be. I would say if I was to replicate what I've built today it would easily be 100 thousand dollars including the pool, maybe even more but that's employing someone to do it all.

Next time you're there you absolutely must do the full roller coaster. It actually starts at the top of the brumby T bar, which you went passed. The top section is rarely skied because once you go too low you cant back to the T bar and are forced down the whole run to the bottom of the ridge chair. This means the top section is some of the best snow in the resort always! And of course you can do the jump into the rolling section as you come down from above 😊
@JohnDeMartin5 ай бұрын
That’s a great idea. I almost always hit the roller coaster from the intercepter in Perisher. I should try doing that it’s such a good run when the snow is good.
