Suggestion, when backing up, don’t slide your tandems till you are aligned with the dock. This will make a better pivot point and backing in a tight area so much easier. Enjoy your travels.

Just a tip when you pull paper or any product slide your tandems so the mud flap is lined to the back of the freight at the back of trailer. That should either put you right or only need to move a small amount. Pulled from Wabash for three years and that method only was wrong once because the loader loaded wrong. This method is applicable for stuff that is 42000 and over and is loaded to the 48ft mark in trailer.

Use your warning diamonds or whatever you use to divert traffic on the side of the road. Put two down in the rear to show how far you need to roll. But the third one just outside your window and ahead of you. Mark it out with steps between the two rear ones then some point on your truck and step it out to place the third market. Get in and move up or back and done....

Thanks for your videos, it is interesting to see the work of a US trucker. I suggest you buy a wireless reversing camera that will also show you when you have set the wheels of your trailer correctly. You might build some kind of housing for it. Maybe there is also a good way to mount the camera on the trailer as well, so you can easily remove it to mount it on another trailer. I'm sure you could run into many situation in which a remote camera can become useful. Ebay has a lot of wireless reversing cameras.

Whenever you drop a trailer, whether it’s loaded or empty, you should never put the sand shoes directly on the ground you’ll be able to put your foot on the list to see if shoe, then pull out slowly from the trailer and let it calm down. That reason is because the next time somebody gets a little bit loaded trailer. They won’t buster There are balls trying to crank it up because when you pull out from the trailer to drop just now only thing you’re doing his pack, a grease of the chef at landing gear and that’s what makes trailers hard to crank

If your at a truck stop during the winter ( especially) when it's icy. Weigh your load on the Cat Scale first, go to a area at that's not covered with ice. Then slide your tandems. If your in a certain area near the dock in residential area, Before you slide your trailer tandems, make sure away from the dock an that your on level ground .

16:47 it’s kinda hard to explain, but if the holes are further apart, like at least 3 or 4 inches away, you divide by 500, if they are closer together, you divide by 250. So what you do is subtract the lightest from the heaviest, then divide it in half, THEN, you divide by 250 or 500, depending how far apart your holes are.

On a mono scale as appose to the CAT scale, you drive on steers first then take the weight. Now you drive up onto it with the tractor and take the weight again. Now you drive the whole rig on the scale and take the weight. now all you need to do is some simple math and you are good to go in most cases.

A few genuine questions from a uk trucker… 1, why did he have to drive around to build air in the trailer? Surely it gets air from the truck. 2, do all American truckers look for a gap on the “freeway” and aim for it? Because in the uk the slip road or on ramp is to get your speed up and people move over to let you in, on the rare occasions where people can’t because of traffic you either slow slightly until someone does or you use the shoulder, joining the motorway at 30 mph in the uk is a big no no, hazard lights or not, that’s half the speed of the traffic you’re joining. 3, how many drive hours do you guys have? We have 9 per day but can extend to 10 twice a week.
