I'm from Montreal, but I still learn so much about my own city watching these videos. I've traveled a lot recently and I'm always so impressed by all these other cities I sometimes forget to appreciate my own. People I meet while traveling will ask me what fun things there are to do in Montreal and I'm just like why would you wanna go there when you live here lol

I've been living in MTL for almost 3 years, I LOVE Monkland my favourite cafe is Cafe De Mercanti the best cappuccinos in the city! I live about a 15 minutes walk from there, Beaconsfield is a great street to walk down in the fall and winter! People do their decorations nicely there. However, I wouldn't say Monkland is affordable... I mean maybe if you're rooming with 3+ people but definitely not on your own! I've also been lost in MTL many times haha 😅 One thing id say for anyone wanting to move here is, as an anglophone and it's been really difficult here so I would just let people know that if you don't speak French you WILL struggle!
@ZoePritchard8 күн бұрын
oh I need to check out that cafe!! and yes its more for those big apartments that Monkland area is great 🙈 also I haven't check apartment prices there in years, but back 7 years ago it wasn't bad (for 3 beds LOL)

@MinaMakesVlogs25 күн бұрын
@@ZoePritchard yeahh i think for me it’s a struggle finding a good balance between feeding off the energy of the city and staying grounded as a human being. on one hand it’s kind of a thrill to stay in a cycle of always striving to do more and be better, because you meet so many people that also have big aspirations and it’s contagious!! but it’s also a reminder that when you have that mindset, it gets harder to stay present and content with what you have. wanting to improve, having ambition, but living in the present and being grateful, it’s kind of an exhausting little dance 😮💨 i also know that it’s quite privileged to have this as a “struggle”. i’m trying to get better with putting things into perspective and being grateful more often
