"Most of all patience:" I couldn't agree more. Add to that..... endurance and incredible artistry and skillful craftsmanship. These words and more describe both of you, Carole and Adrian. Somehow it seems likely that this chateau would have literally fallen into complete destruction. Or another buyer/new owner might have not have had half the patience and would have completely gutted parts of the interior, taking away all the historic beauty. Whatever you decide for the future of the chateau, many of us will be so glad that both of you and Beth did a great job of documenting some of your extensive and laborious reparation and restoration, helping everyone see how you truly brought Chateau de la Ferte back to life.

Watched you two start by picking up the fallen trim and moldings. So much of it. Then tearing out the parquet floors and numbering the pieces that you could reuse. The time you put in that room was unreal. And as you said, you were relentless about getting it done and over. It is unbelievably beautiful and I would feel even more so if I saw it in person. Such a lovely home, outbuildings and gardens. Love you both and look forward to what you do next ❤

Every bit of your hard work and perseverance was needed. Now we can see the Love shining bright in the restored rooms. I imagine how lovely and grand that Grand Salon really is. It takes special people to accomplish that. The furniture was gone, you had to shop and find those pieces and coordinate them and now it is so amazing. I am very curious what the people that had owned the Chateau said when they walked into the restored Salon ?

I feel like I have seen this before, but not sure. Still, nice to remember all the work. It is amazing how quickly as a viewer I move on to the next thing on your list and put the past renovation in the past. To be reminded of the effort in the salon, OMG, when you were working on it, I was just amazed by the hours you put in every day. I, like so many viewers will be sad to see the Chateau sell, but I do hope for a sale so you can spend more time with your family in England. Plus, I am sure you will look for a house that needs restoration!

I have watched lots of chateau restorations and have two favorites, you definitely are one of them. It literally broke my heart to hear that you were going to sell but realize that if your situation changes it is necessary. Amazing achievements! I remember all those episodes mainly gilding those seemingly jigsaw puzzles called mouldings. I still cannot understand how a human being can be equipped with sooo much patience. And stamina as you just said. Well done!

As far as that kitchen goes. The posh fairy had better tap her wand in there quite a few times !! The kitchen needs needs more space. Lose that fireplace and fancy granite or marble countertops and modern fancy appliances !! Beautiful windows. You might need a money tree.

And that salon is so perfect I wouldn’t change anything you have done nothing and that gold the curtains the cream colouring it’s so perfect I would love it minus the sofa bits look to uncomfortable for me that would be a leather sofa for me electric recliners all over blissimo. The lampshades perfect and that horse wow I love it the hallway perfect as well it’s beautiful yiu really have done it justice and the wallpaper wow it’s ten out of ten ❤
