Cirque just flat out fascinates me. People from all over the world, different languages, different everything, all of them consummate professionals, working together to make these amazing shows. And the only thing more amazing than the show is the “other 90% of the iceberg” below the waterline that you don’t even see, but it all works together to make everything work. Bravo to you all. You are completely AMAZING.

I saw them for the first time in Houston a few months ago, and I almost started crying because I had begged my parents for months just to go watch uzia and I literally screamed when I saw Alexey because he was the main reason I wanted to watch Luzia. I cried and I will never forget this show.

I've watched the show live in Toronto in 2016 and it was an amazing experience. I'm happy to be able to see a little more about the artists that made that wonderful show. Thanks to everyone involved in this production.

It's a shame your level of appreciation for variety of culture is so limited. You stunt your own outlook.
@arefalvandy58325 жыл бұрын
I saw the Volta yesterday. Was not impressed, the performances were good but the acts were mediocre. They have not created shows like the O or Algeria or Quidam or Saltimbanco for a long time. They have become much more commercialized and looking for a quick buck company rather than a quality, mesmerizing shows they they used to create. You can watch much better acts on America Got Talent for free. The seating arrangements were bad unless you buy premium tickets and the seats small and hard, i could not comfortable fit in the seat and i am only 200 lbs and 6 feet tall. they have jammed the seats together so they can fit more people to make more money. Mine were $75 tickets and got to seat on the east side of the stage that was shaped in circle and therefore could not see some of the acts where performers were facing the front of the stage specially if it was a juggling act of some sort and you needed to see their hands and i am not talking about the seating closer to the stage of further away, i am talking about the angle in which you are facing the stage and being a circled shaped you have a limited view of what goes on on the stage. That was specially an issue with the projector that would show a video of the story related to the act on the stage which if you were seating on the side of the stage your view of the video projector was obstructed by all kinds of apparatus like a metal pillars holding something together unless again if you paid $200 to get a premium seat. I guess the rest of us dont matter that much and Cirque Du Soleil has become the rich peoples cirques and forgot their humble beginning from the streets of Canada entertaining the common people. They should stop the circular stage design and go for more of a rectangular design so no matter where you seat you can have a front view of the stage like the theaters. Also it used to be a lot more fun to walk around the tent that had all the merchandises with many booths with not only the current shows gifts but also other shows too and so many different things to see and play with. They have trimmed down their performances, their activities before and after the shows, their merchandise offerings, with less glamorous and creative acts to save money for themselves except the ticket (it keeps going up and up and they dont offer good value for your money anymore) and merchandiser prices where a bottle of a domestic beer was $12. The story line was not clear and did not develop fully to make us understand the issue and the struggle of the main character nor was the resolution at the end as to how the story was concluded. Unless you read the synopses of the show you would not grasp the intended story line. There were 6 of us and none of us had a clear understanding of what exactly the story was about and how it ended. All i can say is that the company had gotten too big and therefore sloppy and very profit oriented. They need a challenge, another creative group of performers to give Cirque Du Soleil rung for their money.
