Lmao you do realize some of these league players make millions of dollars right? How is it not smart to do something you love (playing video games) while at the same time making a shit ton of money? What, is it smarter to go to a boring regular job for the rest of your life while making less money?

Kawhi Leonard I just kinda hate the fact that they believe this bullshit is considered a sport I didn't mean any disrespect but don't they wanna do something more important with their life than play video games.. like "hey this is Phil, he's a pro gamer." smh
@almondmilk7319
@almondmilk7319 7 жыл бұрын
Sooo throwing around a ball has more impact on society then playing video games? Stop bullshitting yourself, coming from a basketball fan, just because sports require physical activity doesn't make it any more "important" then playing video games. Really the only thing you can do that's "important with their life" is actually contributing to society by getting an actual job like an engineer or a doctor. At the end of the day, sports are just as much of a waste of time as video games, neither contribute to society what so ever and are just for entertainment purposes.

Kawhi Leonard I never said it was important lmao what are you talking about.. I could choose politics any time I want cuz my dad's a lawyer but no I wanna do what he couldnt, which is make the league..I never compared it to basketball nor did I say basketball was more important. I'm just saying they're missing out on life.

League never claimed to be a sport... its an E-Sport. im just saying if Chess, ping pong and Cheerleading can be a sport. i dont think calling a video game an E-sport is out of the realm. these guys practice just as hard and any athlete. it may not be physical, but its mentally stressing.

im tired of all these ignorant people in the comments. a sport is a physical activity (doesnt mean you have to get tackled, just means you have to physically struggle) that is competitive, so you shouldnt be talking about athleticism... Chess and ping pong are not like the nba definitely not lmao but they still are defined as sports whether anyone likes it or not.

Thats my point, son. There is no such thing as someone being that fast in the head and that fast in the field. It is one or the other. Why do you think most muscle builders are idiots? Why do you think most scientists are weak af? Because it is one or the other. Yes, you can have different variations, but never 100/100. So for him to be 100 of that, he is 0 at the other. And if he is anything above 0, then he is below 100 of the other.

to everyone saying this isn't a sport. We know. We don't consider it a sport, we consider it an e-sport which is a different thing entirely.
@Vendrix86
@Vendrix86 6 жыл бұрын
It most definitely is a sport. People confuse the word "sport" with "athleticism" because they're retarded. Much like how "gender" and "sex" are interchanged when they're not actually the same thing. sport: a contest or game in which people do certain physical activities according to a specific set of rules and compete against each other. Now it's not very physical but there is at least SOME physical activity. A certain amount of physicality is not a requirement. And we already know the rest of the criteria are met - set of rules, competition. Check and check. Any time something new is introduced it's met with skepticism and ridicule. Traditional sports were no exception. By the time our kids are our age, no one will question the legitimacy of esports as it will be the norm instead of an oddity.
@flashpointprdx

Vankaris sex and gender are synonymous. Everyone calls lcs esports not a sport.
@Vendrix86
@Vendrix86 6 жыл бұрын
...instead of thinking you know what the word means, go look up the definition. Gender is a societal construct. "I identify as...." is a gender. Your sex is your sex. You cannot change that. Please know what you're talking about before writing. Yes, league is an e-sport. Just like surfing is a water sport - but still a sport. Just because you put the E in front of it doesn't discredit it from being a sport. People like you need to educate yourselves and open your mind.

All these people saying that these guys have "no life" are pretty out of orbit. They make money for this, its their job. It also entertains people. I mean what about Ping Pong? Or Nascar racing? those don't require much "Physical Exertion" and are still sports, but idk much about esports or anything I mean played highschool basketball and thats all I ever played. But these people need to understand that its not necessarily a "no life thing" because they make money just like any other sports player.

Yeah, i've always wondered what "having a life" means, in specific. They're doing what they love and they're making a shit ton of money off it. They travel the world and compete. Having a good social life? Is that what it means? As long as you're not alone i don't see the problem in not having a ton of friends. People have different needs. Some like to have a million friends, and others prefer less. Being able to contribute to society? I work a lot on my grades, and score high points in almost every subject, and i do what society wants of me, and it's so fucking boring. Life was so much more fun when people used to call me a "no life". We're all going to die, and in the end, all that matters is if we lived happy, and had fun while it lasted. If video games makes them happy that's "having a life" to me.

In league there are different things you need for different positions Pobelter was a mid laner mid laners have the hardest time as they are in the middle of the map with easy access to by the junglers and having the shortest lane therefore having less time in between the waves POB needs the eye speed to match the map mid laners tend to be a mix of the other positions but it mostly depends on what laner you are playing some play like junglers some can react easily like TF and need the eyes to know the map and it is just all different for all positions

Golf is hard as shit though, you have to be very skilled to account for dozens of factors to get an accurate shot. If u want to talk about a healer in an mmo pushing high rated arena then yes, ofc. But league of legends is much more brainless if anything

I wouldn't agree, sometimes supports need to have the fastest reaction speeds to peel for their adcs. Like this one game I remember aphromoo exhausted rengar mid jump from ulti in the middle of a teamfight.

Cameron Scott exhausting a rengar mid jump might look cool but it's useless Although this may seem like a good play you could Apply exhaust while he was down In wow arenas it's completely different for healers

Although I haven't played such games, I can understand where you're coming from. I just can't agree that exhausting rengar is useless. If he wasn't exhausted then he would have done the full damage from his leap and most likely would have one shot the adc.
