I've got the exact same bike... I bought it in 2010 as a fathers day gift to myself and had 8 miles on the odo. I've replaced the radio, stator/voltage regulator, 3 compensators, 3 shift shaft O rings, gear shift linkage/neutral indicator led's cluster and the regular items oil/filter/brake pads/brake fluid/tires/ etc... and I have 107K on the bike. The only issue I currently have is some blow by from the piston rings cause by riding to the top of Mt. Washington and got hot. Other than those items above I put on some Rinehart 3" slip ons... the motor has never been opened, same clutch basket, trans, fork tubes and seat...LOL Good luck on your goal, ride safe!!!!!

Using an external breather? If not I wonder how much carbon is on the top of those pistons.

'No external filter. I'm sure there's plenty of carbon on those heads.

It was a good season. Bought my first bike, completed an msf safety course and got my motorcycle endorsement. What a summer!

Yup ain't nothing like it. I have been asked if I was nervous about riding. My reply is simple Assume all drivers are out to get you. And don't trust stop signs and turn signals. Enjoy the freedom.@@buckfitch1536
