I thought so too when I was still going to school. However after finishing school you will realize that there is no other place where you meet so many different people and are forced to get along with them like in school. No matter whether it is standing up for yourself in front of a teacher or arranging to get along with your schoolmates; all experiences you make in school and everything you learn about communication and social positions is very important. Think about all these people you meet in school that you do not get along with or maybe even nobody gets along with: School is your chance to learn how to get along with them. School is the place to experience and find out for yourself how to act in complicated social situations with people involved that maybe aren´t your friends or people that might be in a more powerful position than you like your teachers. Making all of these experiences in school will make life so much easier for you after school. I tell you it will get easier anyway after school for you. Hang in there. Halte durch! You can do it! :)

This is how the school experience should be for EVERYONE! When I went to school I barely had time to do sports and arts and other extra-curriculars because of all the exams and projects and homework. I hated it. The system sucks cause you find yourself defined by grades that make you feel smart if you pass but very stupid and like something is wrong with you if you fail. It shouldn't be like that. It's way too much pressure. If I ever have kids I'll do my best to give them an education that considers a lot of what you guys mentioned cause I think that's the best way. Homeschooling is the best!!!! If it's done right. We were never allowed to work around in pjs lol. Mom felt very strongly about getting up and detaching from the sleepy, bed time mindset. Which I totally agree with lol. Several of my siblings needed to study in the quiet so they studied in their rooms, the rest of us did our work in the school room/office.
