One of the reasons I subscribe to this channel is the high level of transparency and honesty here. I've seen some of the other KZbinrs mentioned constantly pushing their Navitas fragrances but I didn't know that they were contractually obligated to do so. And yes you are correct it does present the image of a cash grab and KZbin reviewers being used as shills. Thanks for your honesty.

I purchased the entire line of fragrances when they were released, my favorite was By the yuzu Grove , loved it so much I bought another bottle ,just saw the email saying that the Gallaria Parfums store is closing , so I ordered 2 more bottles of it . Sorry things didn't work out with them , but we got some great fragrances out of it

Hmm I’m not sure what to think now. I love Paulina’s Venom Of Love(best cherry perfume ever). So… it sounds like she is being taken advantage of. Paulina seems genuinely excited about this release. It doesn’t seem fake on her end. Gabby Loves Perfumes just announced she is also releasing a gourmand fragrance through Navitus soon. I’m not one to jump on hype trains or buy something simply to support someone(I mean, I have to at least like the product). I picked up Paulina’s fragrance because I wanted a cherry frag and I liked the notes listed for Venom Of Love. Ended up loving it and bought a second bottle. Now I’m wondering if it’s bad to buy these perfumes. You did say these KZbinrs don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes… I don’t like that this company seems predatory but at the same time I love my purchases… Anyone else feeling conflicted?

I was the person you were talking about in the end that bought 3 Jet Black Enigma and with the Navitus issue! I had a whole back and forth with them to work out a deal as they were kind of shady and not transparent about their discount. I ended up buying 3 fragrances then, and they are amazing! Didn’t know you pulled out last year. I purchased the discovery kit when it released. Seemed very Navitus to me but I still ended up purchasing 3 of 7. Just received an email today that galleria is being discontinued and all of them are 75% off. Been eyeing the yuzu for some time now so I did order that one. I also bought the enigma from mm too. Support anything you do. Love the channel and the honesty and I think we have mostly similar taste. Keep it up! KZbin wouldn’t be the same without you

Refreshing honesty! Now, don’t be mad but I did get a back up of By the Yuzu Grove. Even with the “middleman”, you managed to create a great citrus fragrance and I couldn’t pass the deal ( had to stay awake late last night until the website calmed down!)

Wow, you just confirmed everything I though about the brand but I wasn't sure. You just described the "perfect legal crook" strategy. I have a friend who's black belt in this discipline, and I often witnessed the abject aspects of doing business like this. I respect you for stepping out, I personally was never tempted by this brand because of the many red flags connected to it's promotion. Especially the ridiculous price/promotion game they play. It has the opposite effect on me, why doing 60% off, it arouse my suspicion on the real value of the the good. Just like the coupons at Michael's, such a scam, real prices are with the rebate, advertised prices are scams. And then, KZbinrs sounding less and less motivated while talking about the brand just like a broken record. To be able to offer 125 k for representing a fragrance sounds like an utopia, like these fake emails, you won 10 k for doing nothing... Imagine how many fragrances you need to sell to generate enough benefits, in order to give one of the person involved (the KZbinr at the bottom of the chain,) this amount of money RED FLAG--crook strategy-- to good to be true. Bad cop good cop---crook strategy. Frightening, involving legal actions to scare the "business partner"---crook strategy. Gaslighting, etc....Who knows if the price list of prime materials was even accurate, the fact you can't directly talk to them is a clue. Price lists differ depending on the quantity, contract, and if you are an professional in the field or an independent buyer... Anyway, thanks for your honesty...

I can definitely see why people say you come off a certain type of way. But truthfully you just know what you want and hardly ever compromise from what it sounds like. I had a lot of suspicions around how doing business was conducted based on seeing people do reviews and mention the different lines. Which is really kind of sad because i feel like almost every scent ive smelled from the brand (including yours) were quite good. Very few of them were hard passes. It sounds like a lot of people had good intentions. Absolutely loved Dusk to Dawn and Woods. Those were both steller frags.

Your perspective with the behind the scenes venture with Galleria Parfums was enlightening, and actually now makes complete sense why things were being pushed at the time. Regardless, I really truly enjoyed your creations, and even yesterday, in a email for a close-out sale, I purchased another round of my favorites. I've even gifted Dream Wood to a dear friend this past summer. Wore By the Yuzu Grove last month, and actually got some unsolicited compliments (even from the cafeteria lady who I don't know). What you describe is why there is negativity in the community for externally funded Influencer fragrances - specifically the contractual obligations to push these which seriously calls into question reviewer objectivity and whose practices reveal a serious lack of transparency. Your Vivamor example and the recycled briefs is illustrative. Thanks for this

The initial contract was as I described in the video, 2 videos per week minimum for many months and then it dropped to 1 video a week afterward. That would've been roughly 48 Navitus/Galleria videos in a 6 month span and then 4 per month afterward in perpetuity. I had that removed from my contract but I know others signed it as is. The Vivamor thing was a red flag but I brushed it off at the time. My thought was "oh it was just a one off kind of thing for the Middle Eastern market". The second I saw the other two Navitus launches happening the same time as Galleria I knew that they were going to be using Navitus to get as many people under their umbrella as possible. For what it's worth they never did try to expand Galleria to include other people so that's good in a way.

Ash - thank you for your transparency but also for keeping it real about the integrity of other reviewers. Too many internet haters are propagating misinformation that none of the YT reviewers are telling the truth about being creative directors. I’m not saying their behavior isn’t questionable in other ways. But it just goes to show that there is always more to the story. Thanks for taking us behind the curtain. I know for a fact that BBB & Chaos didn't know about me and didn't know about each other. One of the problems is that most YT creators don't talk to each other. Very very few of us are actually friends where we talk back and forth. So this means when I see Steven talking about how awesome his experience was or someone sees me say how much I love my fragrances I worked on, they think "oh man, this sounds awesome!". Then when they're approached they say to themselves "everybody is enjoying this so I'll go along with it too". I spoke to multiple people that worked with Navitus after the fact and they all had a terrible time. If that was out there and public knowledge they'd know not to get themselves into that mess or if they chatted with people in private they'd know it as well. Unfortunately that hasn't happened.

Customer service is huge to me. That’s why I quit doing business with Twisted Lily. Ever since Eric sold the company the new regime doesn’t seem to speak to to its customers. As a consumer and an older guy that means a lot to me. I like a phone number I can call or an email address that will respond within 24 hours. The worst thing I feel is going unheard completely. Just a simple reply to the email is all it takes to make me happy. Fragrance du Bois and a lot of other niche houses are like that as well. It’s a shame. I know not getting my money isn’t that important to some of these big brands but when I was in business management courses we were alway taught every customer is an integral part to helping grow your business, your brand and it only takes one bad review to tank what takes years to build. Show your customers love and they’ll pay it back.

Just today, I got an email from Galleria announcing a 75% discount (from $205), which is very reasonable because you are right. The fragrances are good. I pulled out my remaining samples to remind myself which ones I might like to get. I picked up Victorian Tobacco a while back, and I love it still. The link in the email didn't work, and the website seems pretty jacked up. In what I did see, there was no mention of such a discount. Anyway, I agree with others who see this as a tremendous learning experience. Since these scents were so good, it's clear you have the creativity to make gems. So, I look forward to seeing what you will do in the future.

Great video. Love your honesty. I actually can't take Navitus as a serious fragrance house the same way I don't consider Dua a serious fragrance house. They're More like novelty fragrances.
