RAZEL did not feel comfortable when we were fishing out in the deep. That’s why I came back closer to shore. Once she realizes she can touch the bottom she was a lot happier. Thank you for watching Carolina. Have a great day.

My husband is from La Union Philippines but has been here since 1987. Sadly I have never been and my family is from Cebu! Take care and be safe

Wow, you really need to come to the Philippines. I’ve traveled over 60 different countries and I can truly say over all, Filipinos are the nicest. RAZEL and normally wake up early to catch the sunrise and I take my morning jog and then we have breakfast. Thank you for watching jaylene. Aloha

I just saw your video now... Don't worry... As I have always believed, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. Where did you get your fishing rod and gear? I am an avid fisherman from Canada and I love to fish. Even if I don't catch anything. 🍻

In Dumaguete there is a sporting store that carries rod and reel. Not many choices but it’s good enough. I was able to check in couple of two pc rods when I came in to Philippines. Make sure you pack it in one of those 4’ tubing containers. Reel and tackle I just hand carried. Also I shipped boxes of reel and tackle to the Philippines during the pandemic.

Nice video. Can you direct where to go to rent the boat. Did you rent the rod?

I brought the rod and reel from home. I haven’t seen a place in the Philippines that rents rod and reel. Recreational fishing is just not something the Filipinos do. You’ll see lots of boats fishing at nite. That’s mostly fishermen using 100’ to 200’ nets or spear fishing with a flashlight. And they sell it in there villages or take it home. Most fishermen fish for survival not recreational.

@@SAMLAMB appreciate all the help. I will be buying a travel rod on this trip..
@SAMLAMB5 ай бұрын
@sirstoic1187 yes. That’s what I was using. You’ll need to use lures since there’s no bait and tackle shops to be found. Lures needs to be put in checked in baggage. If you have it in your carry on they might confiscate them. No hooks or lures. It’s the strangest thing Stoic. With over 7000 islands very few recreational fishing and zero bait and tackle shops. Not many people fish inshore or off docks or beaches. Remember those 200’ nets. The Filipinos will scoured the beach or anywhere there use to be an abundance of fish. They eat and keep any and everything they catch. That leaves no room for reproduction and repopulation. The only places where you will see all those beautiful marine life you see in magazines and videos are in protected marine sanctuaries. Good luck my friend. Let me know if you find some good fishing spots.

@SAMLAMB I will let you know. I'll be going in July. I'm sure I'll be uploading a video.. I plan on fishing at lake balinsasayo first. I read they they have carp and catfish there. I know carp can get big. And I'll be able to fish the depths. I'm assuming most people don't go for the bigger fish at a place like that.all the pictures I saw were of small tilapia. I think there's more there
