What it’s like owing a 150 gallon aquarium!! In my opinion 1000% worth all the work & $$ it takes to maintain it. Let me know what you guys think!? Would you want to own a 150+ gallon tank???

Yes I wish I had a 150 lol!! I see that you use buckets to empty. Have you ever thought of putting a pump on your water hose to drain water for you to make it easier? I remember when I was using buckets to empty my 75 Gallon and that was a pain lol. Then I finally got a python water change hose. Saved my back and time . Love it.

Yeah man those are nice I guess I’ve never never really had a problem with it or thought about it😂but I should just get one to make my life easier

@@Itzgabez Amazon sells them and the extra length hoses too. And all the pieces you need I got mine from there. My tank is in the living room but then I run the hose from garage sink to tank. It does drain slow but I've seen people hook up pumps for use with bigger tanks. Love your tank though man. I wish my tank was that size so my fish can do laps.

So I don't know if you know this but they have a hose and attachment that hooks to your sink. When you turn the water on with the sink it creates a vacuum sucking water out of the tank and flowing it down the sink.

Back when I had a fish tank in the Army and I was in the barracks room it was amazing. No bucks needed but it does use water.

Nice tank but I'd run two fx6 filters and more wave makers Than I'd use 400 gal water pump to drain the tank and only use seachem products in it!

Invest in a Python, running back and forth with buckets is backbreaking and slow. Invest in a water pump and tube when you don’t need to vacuum.

arent u supposed to dechlorinate water before phtting it in the tank?

It depends on how your city does the water supply. Everybody city is different than everybody city has different standards for water control and they also have different sources of water. Technically you want to dechlorinate it but some water isn't highly coordinated and some fish in fact like the harder water.

I wondered the same thing. But like me, he may have well water. Still, I'd be concerned about the water temp and ph but I think that would be a lot less concerning if the incoming water was introduced to the tank rather slow and PH checked perhaps midway in or before any of the new water is introduced. Also, I know my well water is rich in iron so for me the tiny spring fed pond several hundred feet behind my property is the place to go for water.

Might be a stupid question. Someone told me that if I got with a 150 I might need to add supporting beams under my floor. Is that true.

Yeah you may need to depends on your floor. Are you upstairs? Or do you have a basement? Or do you live on concrete slab?

For the 150G, you can have 5 cichlids max, because may more will pollute the water too fast. Unless you like doing daily water changes, stick with 5 of less
