I'm excited the original cast will play a major role, but I do hope they play a meaningful one. No one wants to see them shoehorned into the action and I'm genuinely curious how they get involved. They never intended to go back to the island, but now the island has come to them. I also don't expect a lot of backstory on Dodgson since he's been so absent from the films, but hopefully they do his role in the books justice. And on a special effects note, Dominion's VFX better look absolutely *BUSSIN* considering how long it's been in post-production.

What Dominion needs to be successful is have a great story while giving and treating respect to the legacy character's make sure Dodson is felt like a serious human villain. And give the audience a feel for the dinosaurs as character's and wrap up the whole story of this franchise.

I can't wait to see "Dominion," but I'm also trying to remain cautiously optimistic about it. The fact that they have so much stuff to juggle (i.e. dinosaurs around the globe, the original JP trio and Dodgson returning, Maisie's clone origins) really makes me wish this movie will be three hours long, just so everything works out well in the end. Right now, I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Okay I'm just gonna be very brief right now. All it needs to be great for me at least is to feel like Jurassic Park. I love Jurassic World don't get me wrong here, but I miss the old Jurassic park and Lost World vibe. I think there is potential to bring back that old Jurassic nostalgia with the original cast, and Biosyn all returning. But, and this is just my opinion, I want an old Jurassic park type movie to finish off the Jurassic World trilogy.

While she is my favourite dinosaur in the franchise, I sort of hope (in a nice way) that they give Rexy/Roberta an ending she deserves in this film. She could die after a fight saving the protagonists, or just of old age, but I don’t want her character to be dragged on. I think her death would show the audience that these are real animals, and give the first really meaningful dinosaur death. It would also be cool if they did finally drop her actually cannon name for definitely, and maybe before she dies she does a ‘when dinosaurs ruled the earth’ style roar, being an ‘I am Ironman’ kind of thing.

Y'know what, you're absolutely right, the first 3 Jurassic Park movies really don't play out like a well connected trilogy at all. The first two do a bit, but they're missing some major characters without any dialogue to explain why Hammond didn't want Grant and Sattler on the team in The Lost World. I never really thought about it before you mentioned it, but when you compare the first trilogy to what will be the second trilogy soon, yeah, Jurassic World has done a way better job making an interconnected universe of events and characters

@@andrewsalvatore2174 Perhaps you're right. Though that really shouldnt matter to directors/producers who are using a source material in order to create their own interpretative art form. Movies based on books, comics, graphic novels and such often change details of the source material in order to save filming time, connect events and push the story forward. Yes Jurassic Park as a trilogy did all of those things, but with barely any consideration for the future of the franchise. Granted, it wasn't as common to make trilogies or huge interconnected universes of movies when JP first hit theaters, but the idea wasn't foreign to its creators either, hence the barbasol can scene being cited as a means to set up a second movie. Which they did, just without any connectivity between the two films outside of Ian Malcolm, John Hammond(for a moment), Ingen(in name only), and dinosaurs. Great work, Hollywood. lol

Still no trailer, but this is my most anticipated movie of the year. I have a feeling it’s going to be wild and potentially more bonkers than the previous films, but hopefully with the added heart of Alan, Ellie and Ian bringing their experience to the forefront. Edit: I do agree that the audience assessment of The Hobbit Trilogy was lowered by The Battle of the Five Armies being the weakest of that particular trilogy. It showed that being turned from a duology into a trilogy didn’t really work. In fact, Klayton, I would really love to hear your thoughts on the six Peter Jackson Middle-earth films more often.

#1 The dinosaurs need to be fearsome, not cartoonish. Use CGI sparingly. #2 Don’t overuse the score. Lack of music can sometimes make the atmosphere more intense because you can hear all the sounds the dinosaurs make. The first appearance of the T-Rex on screen had no music during the entire scene.

@@tropicaltrapfire0344 JW has already dropped 4 spots since it debuted...5 in the US market and it's been only 7 years. but let's talk about it. its spot is because A) With inflation (so in actuality fewer people have watched the movies as time has gone on, JP sold like 1.25x the tickets that JW did. B) Was a beneficiary of renewal ala Star Wars Episode I, Indiana Jones 4 and Star Wars Episode VII. Star Wars Episode VII is a perfect example of a mediocre film whose trilogy fell apart with the each release. Given that Fallen Kingdom was considered hot garbage by quite a few and didn't make nearly as much as JW unless this movie blows people away (here's a hint, it won't. it's a crappy JP movie and relies on too many of the wrong sources and too much on the wrong nostalgia and lack of story to blow up at the box office) it won't see greatest films to ever hit the box office in reception or sales. Even then it needs to be taken with a grain of salt, it would be one of the highest grosses now but that doesn't mean it stands the test of time like Gone With the Wind, the Sound of Music, Star Wars, ET, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Avatar and Titanic...you know movies that with inflation would obliterate pretty much any movie on the top 10 list that isn't them. With inflation JW isn't even in the top 15 DOMESTICALLY, let alone internationally. To crack the top 5 worldwide in gross right now it would need to be the 6th movie ever to make 2 billion and approach Avengers Infinity War and Star Wars Episode VII in total grosses...two movies with much larger and more fervent fanbases that reached those numbers with special circumstances....and had more than a ton of repeat viewers. Basically you'd have to have a 300-400 million dollar opening weekend and then make at least 75-100 million every week for like the next 2 months...in the middle of summer....during the most competitive season of the year for movies (For instance neither avengers movie in the current top 5 nor star wars debuted in june, the avengers were in mid spring and star wars in december...dead movie periods with little competition). Dominion will have not only top gun premier a few weeks before it but also Lightyear (pixar movie about the toy story character is going to be a big hit in the child demographic which is a major market for JP movies) AND minions ANNNND THOR in the weekends after. So in other words, it doesn't have a chance in hell of cracking the top 5. it will neither be one of the greatest movies in content ever or in total grosses. if there is a movie you should look out for to make it, wait til december with avatar 2. that one will destroy the box office and i say that while hating avatar more than the JW movies. then again you seem to think trevorrow, jurassic world and good plotline go hand-in-hand so why waste my time...

I _Know_ Jurassic World Dominion _is_ going to be Great...the problem is, it _doesn't matter if it is._ Fallen Kingdom was not only _great,_ it was _brilliant._ It was the smartest blockbuster that's been made since the Dark Knight. And yet, everyone hated it...Why? Because they're too stupid to understand it. Looking back on the history of my time using the internet, I have realized that Jurassic Park and it's franchise is _the most misunderstood_ series in the history of film. The people who claim to like it only like it superficially, and that's why they hate the sequels... What Dominion needs to be amazing is of course a great story and a great plot which connects all the previous stories in a way that everything happened before has total logic and sense. One way to do this is through some flashbacks that explain things are still in a mistery or not solved yet, for example a good and logical reason for Ben Hildebrand to go to Isla Sorna I don't know maybe it could be stated that someone from an bioengineering company hired him to go there and film specific species or locations for whatever reason this company had in their plans or something else that really makes sense to make this person went to Site B, also would be great to have in these flashbacks at least a small cameo of the other species that were part of the original park and haven't been seen in the big screen yet which are Proceratosaurus Herrerasaurus Metriacanthosaurus and Segisaurus, specially this last one mentioned which doesn't have any physical appearance yet and is not a giant compy as some believe, is a coelophysid dinosaur with a structure in the neck very similar to cobras have and in the franchise is described as another poisonous dinosaur, so it would be awesome at least a small cameo in a Jurassic Park flashback of a Segisaurus expanding its neck in a threatening pose. Another thing that could help to make more awesome Dominion can be to take some parts of Jurassic Park The Game and Trespasser and addapt them to the movie of course in the flashback sequences, knowing that both games are official canon and contains important information and events that happened after Jurassic Park and The Lost World

My biggest concern is definitely the runtime. I'm not sure if there's any way they can fit everything in and give it all enough space to breathe without making a 3 hour film. And while I'm more than happy to watch a 3 hour Jurassic film, I think general audiences would be skeptical. Hopefully it's at least 2 and a half. My other biggest concern, which isn't even about the movie itself, is how they market it. I will be purposefully avoiding trailers after the first in case they spoil literally everything in them like they did with Fallen Kingdom, which I'm still upset about.

I want to hold out hope for Dominion, but Fallen Kingdom broke all of that. Like I'm sure a lot of people did, I grew up with the first two movies as a kid and I love them. The third one isn't the best, I agree, but I prefer it over the Jurassic World Series. I get that a lot of the people who read the books are glad that these book-accurate changes are being addressed finally, but its just not for me. The Jurassic World movies just got dark, and not in ways I can forgive. I was able to kinda forgive the Indo Rex slaughter, but it pushed too many buttons for me. Fallen Kingdom was the last straw for me with the destruction of Nublar and the death of the Brach. Like a lot of people, I cried at that scene, but leaving the theater, my husband pointed out that I was actively traumatized by that one moment. After the Brach died, I lost all desire to continue the movie. That moment, in the simplest words I can use, felt like the death of my childhood, the death of Jurassic Park. Furthermore, to me, it was all predictable, just like the new Star Wars movies copying the originals to the point of predictability.

To me it wasn't JW got dark (because it really didn't imo) it's because it went stupid and basically the complete opposite direction of Crichton's books. The Open Park idea was the first warning sign and just got worse and worse. It is irredeemable now.

I hope if the franchise does continue beyond Dominion it will be handled with care and passion from those who love and respect what Crichton and Spielberg started. I would also love for Bryce Dallas Howard to direct a jurassic project, perhaps a short film like battle at big rock or an episode of camp Cretaceous.

I'm definitely hoping we get a couple awesome dinosaur antagonists to go along with the human antagonists. Like just imagine the Jurassic Park dinosaurs meeting there real life counterparts. Some of them are stronger in Jurassic Park like the velociraptors got beefed up in Jurassic Park but a natural T-Rex is overpowered to the point where the Jurassic Park T-Rex seems like he got heavily nerfed for the safety of the people in the movies. I can just imagine the Jurassic Park dinosaurs and the protagonist humans have to work together (with some dinosaurs like the T-Rex doing so indirectly) to beat the antagonists and they're all natural dinosaurs with a few hybrid dinosaurs and equipment to control the natural dinosaurs. Keep in mind I never read any of the books and on several occasions whenever I have tried to get them they're usually out of stock or no longer being sold by the vendors that I'm trying to purchase them at so I don't know what's supposed to happen in terms of what the books say

Dude you have the best channel when it comes to JP/JW, I agree with everything u have said!! Sorry in advance to anyone reading my long ass comment just a big fan 😂. There is 1 thing i would like to see, Dr Grant has to meet blue, and see the empathy side of the raptors. Owen showing Dr Grant there is another side to them other then just being ruthless would change everything he believes he knows about the raptors. Maybe blue saves him or ends up having a bond with Dr Grant. I just think that would be awesome, and they have to bring back the spino in some way, rematch would be cool with the rex, but i doubt we will c that, maybe it shows up out of know where and kills another predator just in time becoming the hero in that scene, like a 3 min cameo or something! Id be totally ok with that. The spino was almost in the last one but was cut because they wanted to do it justice in a future film, so maybe this is how. So my fingers are crossed spino shows up at some point, and Dr Grant meets blue. Oh 1 last thing, blue needs to survive this movie, and she needs to be alpha of her own pack, and not be alone abandoned anymore. Thats 1 thing that I didnt like from last one Owen didn't care about her at the start, he imprinted on her, raising her etc and not caring, bothered me alot so this time how ever they do it she has to have a home at the end with owen or her own kind. 😁

Things this movie should have. 1: runtime min 160 minutes due to huge amount of dinos and giving screentime plus to build the story up 2: after Nedry never returned, Biosyn was in trouble but after 97 and rampaging trex Biosyn found out about the second island and started stealing dinos just like MantaCorp did 3: 1 of the main characters die while trying to save someone, perhaps Ian. 4: dodson needs to get killed of and perhaps Doc Wu. 5: More raptors that escaped from my earlier part 2, only to have them come across Blue and perhaps make a pack again. 6: More Klayton content offc 😁

I totally agree with you. Just a small nitpick: you mention that the Camp Cretaceous Rex, Lil' Eatie, is inconsistent with what a female JP Rex should look. Now, I might have not look at her properly, but she didn't feel the same shade of green than the males Buck and sub-adult were to me, I think she was more like a blueish tone. Anyway., she looked distinct enough to me in color tone from the males to not be offended by it, plus she completely lacked the male's throat pouch. And I don't like fixed colors for genders, I like variability like with the Raptor squad. Although I would've made Lil' Eatie completely blue to be extra sure people wouldn't see the Buck. Let's just hope Dominion is the finally that this saga deserves. Take care, everyone!

A few scenes either at the destroyed park after the first film or on Site B after the second film with Bio-Syn getting some samples and then they go back to their labs only to struggle until the park opens before World and then they kick into high gear after Fallen Kingdom?

What would I like to see...? You're involvement Klayton....if the film makers haven't drawn on any of your knowledge, passion, and unsurpassed immersion in the franchise then they missed the opportunity of a lifetime by not bringing you in in some way. Week after week, you put your heart and soul into breathing life into everything 'Jurrassic'....be it plots, background, characters, alternate endings, playing the games. It would undeniably be to their benefit (and ours), to have you onboard in some way, shape, or form. And you'd be representing all us dino- dweebs, nerds, and fan-boys that will be putting our money where our mouths are. If Jackson can get away with 3 hours and forty minutes of The Return Of The King, I say go for it Trevorrow!! Do you think Dodson's team went to Isla Nubar after the events of the first movie to look for the Barbasol containter? With as much money as they were going to pay for the stolen embryos, they wouldn't leave that loose end. I think they will go to the site to find it, and make their own dinosaurs (hence the feathers).

My favorite character has always been Alan Grant. JP3 came out when I was in middle school and I was so excited because Sam Neill returned. By the time I became an adult, I realized it was a TERRIBLE film but I still try to give it a pass because they brought Grant back. If I had to rate worst film in the franchise, it’s Fallen Kingdom as the worst and JP3 as a close second to Fallen Kingdom. Really hoping for a bounce back film with Dominion.

What I want to see is a scene with Dr.Grant hearing about these loose dinosaurs and his I guess you could call PTSD is getting to him about the raptors so he has this ridiculous notion to find the resignating chamber from JP3. He hears something in the night or whatever and out comes blue , we already know blue has a decent disposition for humans, so seeing grant use this on blue would be interesting , or maybe at the least he gives it to Owen to help find blue . Either way they gotta circle back to that cause the raptors on the beach scene was the best scene in JP3 and possibly one of the best in the series.

either way, I don't want more films being made nor does anyone want a reboot after this. so, please, just go out with a bang. if this film can't even be good for the 5th time in a row, then at the very least be entertaining. at this point, due to the bar being extremely low for the entertainment industry, being actually good with a well written script or being bad but still fun & entertaining is the best we can hope for.

i honestly think the biggest thing that should of been taken into consideration is the overall arch of the original 3 films that life finds a way and the dinosaurs are very dangerous to humanity, but dominion seems to forget this completely. i didnt care that they focused on the locust and made the dinosaurs living alongside humanity a non threat issue. dominion should of focused on the fact of apex predators like the t-rex, raptor and mosasaur being introduced into our ecosystem and what kind of fallout that would bring but instead made it a minor footnote. imagine if these dinosaurs just started reproducing so instead of just 1 trex mayb theres a family, and a family of raptors and mosasaurs just totally going after everything and reproducing at a rate that couldnt be controlled and its making it very dangerous for people to even go outside in the affected areas. to me this would of been a much more exciting film and more of a worldwide threat

Dominion needs to do what no way home did. It needs to conclude years of storytelling and make sure that the main event in the movie fits into the story. They need to make sure that everything is very conclusive. I have loved this films my entire life, and I always will. Jurassic park is probably the most important thing i have aside from my family, and I really hope that this movie culminates everything i love so dearly about this amazing franchise.

Tbh, I think the entire thing, for me, could tank depending on the life status of the dinos in the end. Like the mistake was thinking they could play creator and bring extinct creatures back to life without consequences. If the movies end with them just being able to erase it and either wipe them all out or put them in a box (or on an island), it’ll… idk. I generally enjoy movies, and I’m mostly looking for entertainment, so I’m not hugely picky (like the amount of movies I’ve openly talked bad about can be counted on one hand). But I think not laying in their bed after making it will be disappointing.
