while the song is only inspired by some news articles, its touching and changing real lives in the process, all over the world. I am probably, one of those lives, eventually even saved by Ren and this song. I live in germany, I first listened to it, while sitting in a homeless shelter room, trapped in an abusive toxic relationship. I sat at my desk, my boyfriend was screaming at me, throwing stuff through the room, i just klicked any video on my startpage that looked like it would be something i usually watch, so he would think i watch it despite him screaming but i would never thought, it would suck me in nontheless. my own live story is something like a violetts tale, only that the family intern abused one, was my bio mom, her father the one who made me, so i was the outcome of incest. i was adopted at day 4 of my life, into a good doctors home, but i always struggled, have aspergers autism and in early teen years i experienced rape also. my careers didnt work out, cuz of my disabilities, so i was fleeing into relationships who needed me, my boyfriend, learned to know him in therapy setting, has big problems of his own, but not as bad, when i learned to know him...he did "just" hurt hisself in those times.... i was with him for 10 years, the last 3 mainly was, what was the worst, he got stabbed down with a knife in the homeless shelter by a woman who felt threatened by his demeanour.. he didnt touch her but insult her with some body tension and aggressive face.. but she grabbed a big bread knife, with a toothy blade, and stabbed him 9cm deep in the abdomen. well after that trauma, his whole mental state was destroyed a lot further, he fell into deep paranoia, and thought, the stabbing happened because of me, talking to the others about him in a bad way.. he would only eat canned food and think i might poison him because he often vomited due to stress. he deeply loved me, got panick atacks when i was away, thinking, something bad must have happened to me outside... but when i come back declaring all is fine, i am a slut, a liar, i must clearly have gotten atacked or raped for him to have a panick atack.. and i stayed.. for years, because i didnt wanted him to kill hisself (he tried 7 times befor learning to know me..) and he also made threats to my live, i was afraid if i let him fall too deep, too appruptly, he might snap and really kill me so that was the situation, i sat at the desk, and the Tales of Jenny & Screech sucked me in, while my boyfriend raged through the room, and than violetts tale hit me like my boyfriend would deep in the stomack with his knee.. i prepared to leave for years, never really did, but that day, Ren showed me clear as can be, if i stay, i will end on an Autopsy table because of him. Just the day before it was, when he first time chocked me seriously and i wasnt able to sleep whole night... when the sun came out, and i knew the city office for homeless affairs opens in less than 2 hours i left... went there, waited, got myself a bed of my own in a 6 woman room, at the other end of town, on a security protected floor so no male visitors allowed. although, this is quite a while ago now (over two years) he still talks death threats onto my old number, and asks other homeless people where i am.. but they dont tell him, they know better. they just tell me, watch out, be careful, do you need a gun? i would never carry one myself, but i could get one for you to protect yourself.. i always declined. Guns in germany are a really serious matter, dont wanna bring them problems for helping me. i have a own flat now again, (mostly have been homeless due to his problems) my quiet and a dog who is now the one i care for...hoping the dog might react if i ever meet him again and keeps him on distance.... (Lizzy my Channel Mascott, is a Welsh Corgie Puppy now 7 Months old.. a bigger dog wouldnt suit my small flat) Ren probably saved my life, with his message and i will be forever greatfull and spread his message as much i can. To those trapped still in such situation: take the risk, but plan it good.. than dont wait, your life is worth fighting for it!!

Ren read a story in the news about a 14-year-old kid killing a prostitute in a botched robbery attempt That was the inspiration for Jenny's tale was inspired by that. And the "it's such a shame" is from the reactions to the news item. Screech's tale and Violet's tale came later and are not based on actual events. Jenny and Screetch both died at 14. The original victim was (probably) older. And about the location, it's just a house Ren managed to film in. When you do Animal Flow, you might notice it's the same house.

Ren says Kurt Vonnegut's books are his favorites. I'm currently reading Slaughterhouse-Five and I found a character called Rosewater who accidentally shot a 14 year old boy and ended up in a mental hospital. Rosewater kept a large collection of science fiction books under his bed

@ArctophileGAАй бұрын
First, yeah... these are all live one takes. You'll see a lot of one take videos by Ren. Don't worry about pausing, we're here to see you react. You'd be amazed how long some of the Ren reaction videos can get and we're all used to it, in fact we're here for it. None of the rest of Ren's series of songs need to be seen together though you generally want to catch them in order. And no, the Tales aren't based on specific real stories. With Ren, I'd say this... he's a multi-instrumentalist (guitar and piano), he raps, sings, produces, makes most of his own beats, beatboxes, and somewhere in there he's a medieval bard. What you've seen so far between the Tales and Hi Ren is Ren mostly in his bardic bag... some rap, some singing, but much more about the story and performance. Really great stuff, but I'm not kidding when I say you've seen about 20% of what he can do. And personally, I love that you've already picked up on how Ren likes to set the scene when he's starting a song. That's something he does in almost all of his songs regardless of genre or blend of genres. If I had one pick I'd suggest so that you can see Ren from a completely different side that I think you'd really enjoy, go watch "I shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop". There's two versions out there, do yourself a favor and watch the one where Ren's wearing red suspenders. There's just something magic in that performance. It's live, on the street with a crowd around, with the band Ren was in most recently, The Big Push. Because you've seen him get really into his storyteller mode... now's a great time to see him just cut loose and have fun. Thanks for the reaction and glad I've subbed. Catch ya next time

Okay, the timeline goes like that. Violet, born in the late 80s, probably 1986 or 87 or something. Moved out at 16. Met Stevie, probably quite quickly. Got pregnant, in 2004 or 2005. Killed in 2005, pregnant, nine months gone - lost her fight to stay alive. Twins are born and separated. 14 years ahead - 2019 (the year The Tale of Jenny premiered). Both twins born in the same day, died in the same day, not knowing they are relatives. Money Game is a trilogy, yet, no need to watch it all at once. However, I highly recommend to go by numbers, it is better.

I am a 56 year old who learned about Rap through Ren Who I found through his Sick Boi Video, as a person who has multiple uncurable diseases Ren resonated with my soul and I have found so many new reactors and music to follow. It is kinda important to me since I have been primarily housebound since 2004 following a down turn of my diseases which I first learned of in 1998. Reaction channels help me not feel so alone and so isolated your content helps improve my day.
@NixyRose72Ай бұрын
So many stories and layers in these three tales. Patrick and Screech's girl were messing around, which is why they were both "busy" when he was spinning out. Jenny was a 14 year old prostitute who'd "walked these streets a thousand times before." And Stevie wasn't the father of the twins. Violet's own father was. She got a flat on welfare at 16? She was already pregnant. She was too ashamed (her father had taught her to be "quiet") to tell Stevie who the father was so he called her a liar and a slut. There are so many layers. That's the genius of Ren. He puts generational and street violence right up in your face so that it can't be ignored. Money game 1,2, and 3 is another journey to take all at once if you can handle it lol. But they can also stand alone! I will say to make sure you to mg2 lyric video instead of the live. The live is good, I don't think he has a bad video, but it's incomplete. All are amazing! ❤ Ren is a master. Loved the reaction. It takes a second for all the revelations to start to settle in and if you watch it a few times you start to see new layers. Keep going! The rabbithole is deep, but the journey is worth every second spent!

- she's not homeless babe, he killed her -Also this was created by a true story Ren read in a newspaper, he hated how people would say "it's such a shame" and carry on with their day like it was normal, hence his "it's such a shame" verse always -They are all live one takes Jenny and screech (james) were brother and sister born to violet who was abused by her father and partner, it shows the cycle of abuse. Jenny was also very quiet like violet her mother. - not sure if you caught it but Jenny was the same age as screech (twins) so when he says she walks the streets in high heels , he's insinuating she's a sex worker due to hard times - after the twins were born, and violet passed, the children were taken by children's aid, so they never met until the night screech met her that night trying to rob her and ended up taking the life of his sister unknowingly. - also Jenny's dad sexually abused her " TUCKED HER TIGHT AND NEVER LEFT THE ROOM, I BET HER MOTHER KNEW"
