This is the one that coined the term Bardcore and you can see why. Jenny & Screech's tale was based on a newspaper story of an underage prostitute being murdered (by knife) and the 14 year old perpetrator being shot by the police on the next street. The police chief stated "so young, it's such a shame". Violet's Tale was written 2 years later. And yes, Ren is a big Police fan - he even did a small amount of cover of Message in a Bottle - See "Back on 74 / Message in a Bottle Retake".

Ren us a big fan of The Police and Sting....back on 74/message in a bottle is a track based on the Police's tune totally different vibe of course, like all Ren's tracks you just never know what you'll get !! Ren is now 34 he was 31-32 when he made this track if I remember correctly He makes his own beats, mixes, produces, he's a lyricist, beatboxer, rapper, singer, songwriter, plays almost every instrument including drums (badly he says), story teller/bard, director & videographer. His team comprises of his best mates Samuel Perry-Falvey is his main videographer and has recently won awards for the Money Game 3 video, and Kai another one of his mates who appears as a bald Kujo in Kujo Beatdown and on the Back on 74 video. There are others who take care of merchandise social media etc whose names *I can't remember atm all mates and good guys looking after Ren and in return he looks out for them too like Chinchilla and Viktus who he's bringing along with his success :)

There are bridges between the tales on the streaming services that add another layer to the Tales.

Good ear picking up Ren’s vocal similarity to the lead singer of The Police, a guy named Sting. The Police and Sting are British too. There’s another male singer, Sam Tompkins, with a super similar singing voice to both Ren and Sting. Both Ren and Sam are self taught singers, and I think there might be a local accent coming out in their singing voices… and a shared love of reggae? The Police and Sting got quite reggae at times too. Agree with that dude there’s some Renaissance guitar coming through Ren’s style. Ren wrote Jenny’s Tale after reading a short news article in 2019 about a 14 year old boy killing a Sex Worker on the street. A year later he wrote and performed Screech’s Tale, and a year after that Violet’s Tale. We’re getting Vincent’s Tale shortly, but I don’t know if Vincent is connected to the first three.
