Ladies....this is a very old song....I first bought the 45rpm record of this back in 1966. A great African-American singer named Percy Sledge made this song famous. Home Free did justice to the song when they recorded it.

The Percy Sledge 1966 original was written after a bad break-up and he sings "I gave you everything I had". Austin's lady Amberly was in the studio when this was recorded and he sings "I'll give you everything I've got". I've always loved the late Percy Sledge's version (not so much Michael Bolton's - I thought it rather over-wrought). I think Mr. Sledge would have approved of Home Free's rendition.

Have you ever trio ever asked yourself why more women loved this song more than men? Because the truth hurts baby. That's why. My answer out there who feels like they have the upper hand in whatever situation they may have or want to have with a man when it comes to controlling a man when it comes to love, just listen to a man called "Mr. Tom Jones" singing "DELILAH". Listen to his words, look at the expression on his face and all of that. Now try to be honest with yourself if you would, if you could, is his face happy and smiling? And unless you happen to be tone deaf or whatever, is he speaking from the heart and from this so-called "One Sided Love Affair of his. Why do more men favor this song more than women huh? PS Honey, please do yourself a favor and listen to the original "When a man loves a woman" and see if your feelings are the same as Mr. Michael Bolton's or Home Free and then ask yourself why not. I don't like the lady on the left because she was all about thinking the man owed some debt to a woman. The lady on the right was mixed emotions to me. not sure about her feelings of this song. The lady in the middle is a mystery but somehow, I feel that she has deeper instincts and understands this song better. I would trust her analysis most. btw, don't talk at the same time you are hard to understand.
