This shows you how spiritual Kanye takes music. It’s not just about making a dope beat and recording dope verses. It’s deeper than that. You have to live the music you’re making.

I think he's one of the greatest musical minds of the 21st century. His process, vision, and just overall way of how he thinks is just fascinating. I absolutely hate that people are now using his controversies and disliked public persona to try and discredit his musical genius, because if there's one thing that should never be questioned, it's his musical prowess imo.

it's crazy hearing Chris Rock describe the room like that, bc every time I listen to that album I really feel like an executive/successful/wealthy. it's absolutely beautiful how well Kanye's vision and his studio sessions translate to the listener experience. I felt the same with Donda, the whole album was so deeply moving for me. I started praying more and more and started to find more value in the simple things after that album. Donda has had such an amazing influence on me these past few months. I haven't listened to it all the way through too many times, but just the energy and the vocals about family, God, and love are so powerful.

All i can say is Kanye is a genius. And Don Jazzy is a Nigerian and one of the biggest producers in Africa who owns a record label called Mavins. Now i see why he left good music. It must have been werid for him, because he was one of the biggest celebrities in Africa but kanye treated him like he was nobody by locking him up in one small room to make beats for him.

The whole 'Making them do a verse multiple times' or 'Songs not coming out' is very reminiscent of what people have said about Dr Dre. The bar to perfection and brilliance is so high, that a great producer knows when something is and isn't a hit.

Sometimes, in the music we make, the best part isn’t our verse. Some of my favorite Kanye songs, aren’t my favorite because of Kanye’s part. Like on “Bound 2” we all sing along to “I know… you’re tired… of lovin…. Of lovin, with nobody to love” and then we all follow along to the “UH-HUH HONEY- waaaaaaaaaa”.. Kanye knows this and considers it when choosing his samples, sounds, or features. He uses techniques that translate his ideas into hip-hop
