it's crazy hearing Chris Rock describe the room like that, bc every time I listen to that album I really feel like an executive/successful/wealthy. it's absolutely beautiful how well Kanye's vision and his studio sessions translate to the listener experience. I felt the same with Donda, the whole album was so deeply moving for me. I started praying more and more and started to find more value in the simple things after that album. Donda has had such an amazing influence on me these past few months. I haven't listened to it all the way through too many times, but just the energy and the vocals about family, God, and love are so powerful.

Sometimes, in the music we make, the best part isn’t our verse. Some of my favorite Kanye songs, aren’t my favorite because of Kanye’s part. Like on “Bound 2” we all sing along to “I know… you’re tired… of lovin…. Of lovin, with nobody to love” and then we all follow along to the “UH-HUH HONEY- waaaaaaaaaa”.. Kanye knows this and considers it when choosing his samples, sounds, or features. He uses techniques that translate his ideas into hip-hop
