pete doherty is prolly the most brilliant songwriter since a lot of time... most of his songs seem straight-forward and easy to understand but there are always some deep meanings in all of his songs ... hats off

Amazing , really nostalgic. I even like it when he fails to reach the right note on the "don't know why" in the middle of the song. =) He may not be a perfect musician but he's still an amazing poet which touch our souls.

I 100% agree. I saw him 2 days ago live in an intimate gig, he was not as happy looking as he was in this footage, but he was in tune and made a few jokes. It was amazing seeing him in such an intimate venue and seeing him so close. He is a great performer. He also smiled at me when he arrived and I was standing outside in the que with my friends. I'm seeing him again next week at Hackney empire. He's a legend and I love him.

To say Peter plays easy stuff... you should take some time to watch & listen to his music. You would be amazed & end up loving it. PD is the whole package, his lyrics can make you WOO HOO or make you cry, his voice can give you chills, his guitar is fun and fits him perfectly. Even if you took away his incredible lyrics & guitar, he could sing the phone book and make it sound like a cool song - and get a crowd into it & having fun! He has natural born talent - not too many people have that...

sad song about heroin, like many other singers did... but I like Pete, He's a very good artist, he's able to spinn off his feeling like few people are....
@justtrashed14 жыл бұрын
@carloda001 pete refers to the novel "what katy did" by susan coolidge, it's about a girl growing up. katy and mrs. brown are characters of this novel. i'm not quite sure why he refers to "katy", but mrs. brown is clearly a personification of heroine.

@williamsey Hi - I'm thinking it is a good thing everyone has different opinions - or it would be a pretty boring world wouldn't it? One song or singer can mean a million different things to a million different people for a million different reasons... I say we all find the songs and musicians that make us happy and have meaning to us and ENJOY!!!
