Or getting hurt because you pull up and try not to make a tackle. Or actually teach the rookies that they don’t need to tackle and they just need to focus on turnovers (on camera). Or be more worried about what dance you’re doing that week instead of watching tape. Or celebrate a turnover on the far side of the field when you’re down 26 late in the game. Or have your crew make excuses for you on Twitter when I call you out for not tackling and being soft. Or or or… I can go on forever about him and not feel bad because he wasn’t the leader he was supposed to be. We all know our D Line wasn’t doing the DBs any favors, but you being the vet and making the money are supposed to encourage them and help them instead of calling them out when you’re getting burnt every game yourself.

Exactly byard to fill in for Jackson to pair with our young elite SS in brisker. Last year in his second year he learned the speed of the nfl and the schemes, brisker had 17 solo tackles as a safety in one game.. then Jaylon Johnson paired with Stevenson and Kyle Gordon in the slot.. our DBs maybe the #1 in the league and the youngest.. we have the best LB core if not too 3-5. And our DL is getting better and better especially with sweat all we need is another edge and our defense will be so hard to score on

Excellent breakdown! Thanks for getting this tape out so quick! Total upgrade over Eddie. Fast breaks, aggressive, technically sound tackler, great at reading offenses and reacting in the moment, great with leverage! One suggestion, it would be great if you also showed some of his lowlights too, to see what he needs to work on. But awesome analysis and thanks from an excited Bears fan!

Think him and Gordon are interchangeable on some plays as well which could really throw O off. Gordon all of a sudden is Single High and B-Yard in the Nickle (He can cover/Blitz there)

People will bring up his age but I think it’s overblown. He obviously won’t be as good as he was when he was younger but with such a young secondary the Bears need a veteran who can read the game and most importantly hits like Eberflus wants, something Eddie lacked severely.
@IAMVICTORIUS7779 ай бұрын
YESSIR I Love this pick up. Kevin is a DOG and the miss tackles on the back end will be shored up for sure now. I respect EJacks but I think it was time to get someone else back there which can change the whole complexion of the D in a good way!

He brings the best jump route Safety in 🏈. He's not a deep CF but can play it fine. If Brisker isn't 100% I think he moves to SS. I thought we had guys on the roster who had earned a spot. 🤷💯 If you liked Mike Brown like I did, you will like Byard Down.

That play against the Cowboys where Byard leaves his assignment, the TE, to cover the FB, is what great players do. Reminded me of MJ in 98 finals, letting B.Scott go to creep behind K.Malone & get the steal. Which led to the game winning shot. Different sports but same concept on defense.

I am a Philly fan and I have to say I don't think this video will age well. Play 1 run blitz and he makes a play. Play 2 Greg Cosell reviewed this and said Mahomes underthrew the ball. Play 3 Jordan Davis made that play. Byard WAS a really good football player. I think his best days are well behind him. Time will tell.
