What kind of Laser should you buy? Fiber? CO2? Diode? Buying guide.

The Trumpf fibre laser I ran for 9.5 years, was 5Kw and $1.5 million. It would cut 25mm steel and 20mm stainless.

Only co2 laser will cut clear acrylic.

CO2 cuts it better for sure, but a Diode laser can cut acrylic.

Diode lasers can cut some acrylic colors but it won't cut clear. If you want to cut clear and every other colour CO2 is the way to go. A diode just won't cut clear. I mainly cut and engrave clear so a diode is not an option for me
