After Peter Cetera left Chicago, Bobby Caldwell was asked to join Chicago, but he declined. He certainly has great vocals and he can write.

@lamarravery4094Ай бұрын
@@Cindy875There were a few people that were considered for Peter's replacement. Richard Page from Mr. Mister since he also played bass and was blonde like Cetera was who they really wanted, but Richard declined, he wanted to do his own music, he probably should've accepted the invitation since his career didn't go far. But Bobby Caldwell was also considered, but like Richard, he declined. I heard this from an interview from Bobby Caldwell somewhere, I don't remember where but somewhere on KZbin.

I think he has one of the greatest voices ever. He has written and co-written so many great songs, and such an amazing voice. I am so happy for you that you became aware of him. This was just an absolute terrific rendition of this song. Jason Scheff also sings it very very well. But, for my taste, you do a better job with it live. And your arrangement is superior to the Chicago arrangement when done live. I was blown away.

It's incredible that Bobby Caldwell's band plays the actual arrangement of this song, with while Chicago can't do the same in concerts...Jason has to conform himself with singing an acoustic version of his classic hit which was't bad at all on the hit parade...Sh---T!! I actually think the acoustic version is nice, but why Chicago can't show this song like they do with all others is beyond my understanding...

Jason Scheff's falsetto couldn't do that either outside of the studio. Doesn't make Jason a poorer singer. Give Bobby's music a listen -you are only going to appreciate music in general a lot more than you do now.
