I had a tummy tuck exactly 7 days ago today. Excruciating pain. I do recommend getting it over with if you need it. It isn’t fun. I hate the drains too. I had a breast reduction a couple of years back.

Im glad they have slow release local anesthetic. I must be allergic to prescription pain killers. I vomit violently on them. It is so miserable and painful. The only other condition to cause me to vomit like that was when I was in diabetic ketoacidosis. I got it as an adult. I knew something was wrong with me when I was vomiting like I was taking a prescription pain medication. If you see my comment, I am interested in how you manage a controlled type 1 diabetic for a tummy tuck. A1C stays between 6 and 6.4. Would it need to be better?

nucynta is a type of pain medicine that works well. different class of pain medicine. but it is more expensive. works great. getting A1c to normal and healthy is always advised

I have a tummy tuck and breast implant surgery. 3 weeks after the surgery My middle back hurts a lot when I stand up.

I would recommend that you start massage therapy as directed by your surgeon. It should help!

Hi doc. My mom had the surgery on 21st May 2022 and completed a month on 21 Aug 2022. Her stitches opened due to not wearing a compression garment so he had to restitch her up in order to align the skin back to her stomach again. She’s in a lot of pain everytime the nurse we hired, does her dressing on the wound below her naval. She wants to avoid pain medication as it has several side effects on kidney. What do you recommend I do? The doctor is pretty insensitive to her pain so I’ve been looking for opinions online about this.

Had a tummy tuck 4 weeks ago almost at Stars Plastic surgery, with “Dr.” Michael Davis in San Antonio Texas and it was miserable. He had a filthy office. I got sepsis and hypovolemic shock. The pain was excruciating and then to make matters worse, they couldn’t bind a vein and had to use a medicine. Also, I got Covid in the hospital. I’m suing this joke of a doctor. He went MIA after my surgery and he was touching things also before he gave me my tummy tuck.

Bullshit tummy tuck hurts way worse then lipo 🤦‍♀️ lipo you just feel bruised tummy tuck you open me up and put my muscles back together… and yes back does hurt but tummy tuck way worse then lipo I have had 2 with and without lipo

would you recommend lipo with a tummy tuck? I dont think I need it & the dr's seem to push it (the few consults Ive gone to). I know it is more risky to add lipo as well correct? I wasnt aware lipo was very painful so seeing this video is reinforcing my decision to not want it. Thanks for posting this video!

I do lipo at same time of tummy tucks 99% of the time. just not in the area of the abdomen. which risks causing circulation issues to the skin flap. but in the waist line and back and other areas as desired.

It’s not the most painful because of the medicine but whenever you cough sneeze or even laugh, it’s Hella painful and yes, your back hurts I had tummy tuck like a week ago and I’m just going through videos to get info😅
