What life is like as a missionary

I have always thought of one day being a missionary and I always thought it would look a certain way. Well, I have been a missionary now for two years and it doesn't look the way I expected.

I hear you with the difference of expectations and reality... I thought it was all remote too. I actually started in the jungles of Ecuador on a year long mission.... and now I am living in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, as a missionary.... not what I originally expected, but the task is the same... It looks a little different, but we are here to share the Word of God.

YWAM is really fun. Lots of people following Jesus with all they got. Its a fun bunch of people.

We’r pretty much where God will put us around the world and where He needs us, where people need God so there is no definite place but same purpose to turn the place and community into people who has the salvation and love of God to ignite that fire on all the ends of the Earth. Praise God!

Some Honest Missionaries we are about 60 miles away from the DTS. We do a lot with YWAM. We are a husband and wife team called to pastor a church here on the Big Island. It has felt like missionary work the whole time. Recently the Lord put on my heart that that is exactly what it is. Now just trying to figure out what that looks like .

I hear what you're saying. Think about it this way - if you had something that could save someone's life, wouldn't you be willing to give it to them? We believe that God is the only way to heaven. So if we see people who don't have the knowledge of God - who don't know how to get to heaven and don't know their Savior - why wouldn't we want to share it with them?
